The call/non-call that I remember as the worst was 1979 USC at LSU. - And it's not what you think. We had them beat but a face mask penalty gave them new life. The face mask penalty was the correct call. The problem is, the play should have been blown dead because of an obvious false start by USC that was NOT called. Tiger Stadium was loud that night.

So was the F up noticed right away, or did it take a while before people figured it out?
(MU VS COLORADO)
-----------------------------------------------
Our section knew what was happening, but it was mixed as many were caught up in ACUTALLY HAVING A CHANCE TO BEAT COLORADO. However, I vividly recall my brother's friend LARRY screaming himself into a raging fit after the 4th down play. THen, refs screwed up again by signaling TOUCHDOWN when the replay showed that his shoulders were touching ground before extended into endzone. Refs knew they had screwed up......they gathered in middle of field at least 10 minutes before announcing the game was over. In a side note, so pissed I ended up walking home (2 hour walk)after missing multiple rides.

Brad Budde wasn't it? The Tigers really outplayed 'SC most of the night; nothing fluke about it.

Like someone said earlier, UGA could have at least attempted to tackle Charles Scott on his TD run!

A play that a lot of people forget about from that '06 Auburn game is the phantom holding call on our Canadian lineman (can't remember his name). He had a cast on his hand, so he couldn't grab with it. The replay showed his man easily getting by him.
That flag negated a terrific pass from JR to Dickson for a first down around the Auburn 30 in the 3rd quarter.
It seemed like every time LSU had a chance to score in that game, the refs threw a flag, didn't throw a flag or waived one off that killed LSU's chance to score.
That no-flag on Irons in the end zone v. LaFell near the end of the 1st half left me dumbfounded. How they could miss that arse-raping I'll never know.

It's extremely generous to call #9 a "blown" call. It was CORRUPT.
I could accept the call if they didn't have replay because it happened pretty fast.
But with the benefit of replay there is no way that anyone should blow that call. That was definitely corrupt.

The whole 2009 season was corrupt!

IMO the worst blown call of all time was the Miami/OSU championship game with the interference call thrown by the ref from 40 yards away when the guy right under the play no called it. That call decided a national championship - incorrectly, I might add.

BULLSHITE..Nobody here is saying that
You are at the top of the list when it comes to a fan blaming the refs for ANY LSU loss.

It would be cool if I was on any list.
I just mentioned that play because I remember it being a terrible blown call. I did not realize it had a history. Apologies.

the biggest fail of the auberference game was jamarcus leaving his receiver out to dry on the 5 yard line on the last play. another opportunity lost due to poor quarterback play...
