That bullshyte 2006 Auburn call was bigger than Bama in 2009. It likely kept LSU out the MNC game.

If the safety of the players is the number 1 priority then the LSU/Alabama 1999 game is number 1.
Official does NOT call injury timeout with an Alabama linebacker lying at his feet on the LSU side of the ball.

Yeah, to be completely honest, LSU-Auburn 2006, was way worse than Alabama-LSU 2009, because LSU was getting the ball on the Auburn 16 with a new set of downs, and needing a TD. LSU-Alabama 2009, LSU intercepts the ball and gets it at LSU's own 32, needing a TD against the Alabama defense. Both calls (or no calls...or reverse-the-proper-flag call) were egregiously bad, but looking at the totality of the situation, LSU-Auburn was worse. Both had national implications, as LSU would have went on to play (and probably beat Florida) in the SEC championship game, ultimately sending LSU to the national championship (which we would have won, also). In 2009, if LSU would have ended the year as they did (losing to Ole Miss), we still wouldn't have made it to the SECCG, but we would have given Alabama at least one loss late in the year, making the BCS NCG at least interesting.
Certainly, if we could have one back, I'd choose the Auburn game in a heartbeat because it's a possible (dare I say, likely) scenario that LSU would have ended up in the championship game against a weaker Ohio State team. That picked up flag was not only one of the worst calls ever, but in all liklihood, cost LSU another banner.
On another note, the no call against Cal in the Cal-Stanford game in 1980 (I think) would be a more recognizable no call. By no call, I mean the fact that the refs completely missed one down player with the ball who subsequently lateralled to another Cal player who subsequently lateralled to another and so forth until the band took the field and the Bears scored a TD.

Why is lsu/georgia even on this list? I mean yea maybe we got a call our way on the celebration penalty. But georgia got the same damn call! It's not our fault they couldn't tackle trindon!

1982. FWIW and I agree with this.

But if LSU executed better on offense that call would not have mattered.

He did not use it but the refs sure did. They awarded Alabama the ball when the replays clearly show our guy get up and hand the ref the ball. That would have made Number 1 if the refs had not had the sense to look at the Jumbotron.

hm, def thought OSU-MIA pass interference would have been on there

If everyone executed better then no one would frick up and lose. That doesn't make obvious frickups by officials okay.

Dipshit alert!!!! How does this make a poor call ok? I'm sure in any game you can go back to other factors. Do you understand the topic?

I recall a few other calls in that game going against LSU. The Hester fumble out of bounds that was called an incomplete pass for one. Wasn't there also a questionable drop by an Auburn WR after a Landry hit?

That would have definitly been #1
I dont even think Alabama even tried to jump on the ball. Our guy had the ball the entire time and gave it to the ref and walked away and out of nowhere they gave Bama the football. Most screwed up thing I ever saw.

Pitt vs west Virginia. Even though Pitt won that was the worst calls in the history of football

The LSU Auburn game had so many bad calls its hard to point to one, that's prob why it didn't make the list. That and because most of the attention that day went to Oregon and Oklahoma with that massive screwup.

The Ga/LSU call was a make up call they threw against LSU earlier. And that call sucked.
