I personally like the goal post drill where the receivers catch the ball behind the goal post with the juggs gun spitting it at them

Per Dandy Don this morning, FWIW...

quote:

• Tight end DeSean Smith demonstrated great hands and did better than anyone in the portion of the gauntlet drill that I recorded. In fact, he was the only player to merit praise from receivers coach Tony Ball.

I really hope the TE's can get utilized properly in the passing game this year. It seems like Gordon is a hidden weapon and can bring more to the table than just being an extra linemen. I'm also think desean smith can bring another element to our offense.

I'd settle for the receivers being used properly.

- Chark doesnt look to have the natural pass catching ability as Quinn, Diarse, Dupre.

- Diarse looks like he has his body in check. He was too big last year. Looks leaner.

- Quinn has the best hands of any of our WR and is clearly the most polished.

Our skill position players are straight up amazing. This could be the most well rounded we have ever been at every skill position (RB, TE, WR).

I don't think there's any reason to confine this to skill position players.

LT: Jerald Hawkins (Junior: 6-6, 309 lbs.)
LG: Ethan Pocic (Junior: 6-7, 301 lbs.)
C: William Clapp (Redshirt Freshman: 6-5, 295 lbs.)
RG: Josh Boutte (Junior: 6-5, 340 lbs.)
RT: Vadal Alexander (Senior: 6-6, 320 lbs.)

OT: Jevonte Domond (Junior: 6-5, 298 lbs.)
OG: K.J. Malone (Sophomore: 6-4, 298 lbs.)
OG: Garrett Brumfield (Freshman: 6-3, 294 lbs.)
OG: Maea Teuhema (Freshman: 6-5, 327 lbs.)
OT: Chidi Valentine-Okeke (Freshman: 6-6, 311 lbs.)
OT: Toby Weathersby (Freshman: 6-5, 292 lbs.)

Consider the quarterbacks, the skill positions, and the linemen, and we are legitimately fielding an NFL developmental roster.

John Diarse is a damn good looking football player.

Yes sir, he is. Theres not much flash and he looks like an everyday receiver with a lunch pail.
He could be a First Down, Touchdown machine if he can get on the field. Im sure its difficult to not play some of these speedsters and route runners LSU has, but Diarse so reminds me of Cris Carter.

Chark moves like a gazelle but his hands aren't as good as Quinn's.

We have so many good skill guys on offense no one is going to get enough touches

I've been saying that the DBs on the team all say this and that he's hardest to cover one on one. Not a prediction about who starts but that fact shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
