Tonight is the night CJJ shuts down his critics

I've been a vocal supporter of Coach Jones because I know how much he means to his squad and the attention to detail he brings every day. He has been subjected to harsh criticism by the fanbase (for one reason or another that has nothing to do with on-court performance), but has always shown professionalism unlike some other Tiger coaches.
Well, tonight he will show everyone that he is a top 5 coach in NCAAMB and displays what we can expect from the Tiger roundball squad for the remainder of the season. Just you watch!

Let me correct you right here...

Anytime you go against a Patriot League team you know it's proving time.

Against 2-8 American?
What, will he win by 40 like he's supposed to?

I don't hate CJJ, but to say criticism by the fanbase has nothing to do with on-court performance made me laugh.
Decent troll 6/10

Come on man. I like Johnny as a recruiter and development of individual players, but his ability to develop a team and his game day decisions are lacking. I would say he is a top 50 coach because of the recruiting alone but you make all us CJJ supporters look bad when you say he is a top 5 coach.

You mean like piss poor free throw shooting, terrible perimeter and interior defense, lack of an offensive scheme, poor rebounding, reluctance to call timeouts at crucial points in a game, etc. Yes, none of these have to do with on-court performance. I do like your optimism, though.

We are playing perhaps the worst team in college basketball

Maybe top 5 is being too optimistic, but hear me out. With his 'cruiting prowess and the hype he has built around the program, you have to ask yourself how many other coaches could have accomplished as much at a school where roundball has historically been relegated to third-tier status. If you are being honest with yourself, the answer is not many.

If he doesn't win with his recruits he has currently his recruiting will take a huge hit.
Basketball could be second tier at LSU if they start winning consistently. I love LSU baseball but even I will admit basketball for most people is more fun to watch. Baseball is a sport that you have to love to enjoy watching basketball is constant and more entertaining.

Did this crazy mofo really say top 5 coach?

Oh, so you're basing it around hiring a once in a generation talent's god father.
Because he ain't done shite on the court to deserve a top 5 ranking, hell, even top 45-50.
Not trolling, that's just the facts. His teams have woefully underperformed.
