Any top coach would be a hero in LA with that type of talent. LSU runs a archaic, prehistoric offense and still destroys people because of the talent. They only stumble against teams with solid coaches with similar talent because Mile's is outcoached and doesn't know how to adjust to win those type of games.

Speak softly, you will get these old geezers that love Les upset. It is their dinner time and soon time for bed.

He won't come to LSU. Why would he?? He is in a hot bed of talent and the 4th largest market in the USA. He and the Coogs just dismantled a great FSU team won their conference and went 13-1 for the season. Arrogant of you to think he would sign with LSU.

It's a shame they aren't given a chance to play for STILL the MNCG

First, we could offer far more money. Second, if he won at LSU, he'd be guaranteed a playoff berth. Nothing arrogant about it. At the very least, you make a compelling offer.

He had SEC offers and said no thank you.

Give me a break. None of those teams could beat Ole Miss or Bama or Arkansas even half of the time.

He lost to FSU BTW.

Look if y'all want to hire a young successful offense minded coach hire Major Applewhite. He is the offensive mastermind along with Herman.

If Herman is in a trash conference then why start "Hire Herman threads". Idiotic philosophy

From South Carolina and Missouri? Neither is comparable to LSU.

the only team on his schedule worth a darn was Memphis and he almost lost that game.

Actually, Houston beat 3 top 25 teams this year, which is the same amount LSU beat.
So, you don't consider that win over FSU impressive?
Did you know that FSU was the only team in the FBS that had not allowed an opponent to score over 25 pts in a game?

The Rant seems to be split on whether or not Herman will have long term success, but the people who simply dismiss him as Sumlin 2.0, aren't doing their research on the guy.

Oh, I don't know...

Money. Want to hear something that will make you laugh out loud and sad at the same time? Are you sitting down? LSU paid Kevin Steele $350,000 less than Houston paid Herman this year.

I think everyone else has already addressed the same recruiting base plus Louisiana argument, so I won't dwell on that topic. But consider that in Louisiana, LSU is the school. In Texas, Houston is behind Texas, aTm, Baylor, and Tech. You don't think he (or anyone else) wouldn't trade the AAC (if that, in fact, is a real conference) for SEC contracts, national exposure, elite competition?

Long term success? I just don't think he'll stay anywhere long term. Herman is the next great.
