Exactly right. If LSU could pass effectively, I think they blow 'Bama OUT. But, the passing game is little more than vestigial at LSU.
Quite silly to suggest any team outside the NFL is simply going to blow Alabama out. If you challenge your presumption for a moment that any Nick Saban QB is merely a game manager, you would notice that McCarron leads the FBS in passer efficiency rating, has thrown 0 interceptions and 16 TD's, and is starting to garner Heisman talk. Where you want your team's offense to be is pretty much where Alabama's offense is right now, paired up with the #1 defense in the country.

That sounds exactly like Jarrett Lee last year and he was the definition of the term "game manager".

Heisman talk
Heisman trohpies are won in big games like Baton Rouge. If McCarron comes in here and carves us up like 1/9 then give him the Heisman trophy. I simply don't see that happening.

That is certainly debateable who has the number 1 defense in the country. The argument could certainly be made for our defense. We will see who has the better defense on 11/3 in Tiger Stadium.

Were all on the defense. Go watch the fricking game moron. 2 false starts were on freshmen oline. And metts dumb arse throw across the los. But yeah thats all les miles fault.

You negaturds jump all over us and call us blind. Yes the passing game sucks, not the entire offense, the passing game.
But to sit here and blame ciaches for receivers not getting separation is asinine. Receiver barely get open against us. Why is when an lsu player sucks its all on the coaches, but when another teams player suck its cus the player sucks.

Hope LSU can get a few of these plays.

Holy crap.....
Do you have to post about how LSU will lose their next game every other day?
Everyone knows we struggle on offense. Everyone knows why we struggle on offense. Everyone knows Bama is the favorite.
All of the obvious has been written already. Why add another thread saying the same thing?

LSU will see 8 and 9 defenders in the box all day until an open receiver catches one behind the secondary.
The real fear would be that Bama would stop the run without walking an 8th guy into the box.
8 in the box is an opportunity against anyone, even Bama, if you can protect the QB.
I don't expect Saban to live with 8 in the box until he thinks he needs to. And if it is a close game, he is going to be reluctant to give LSU the opportunity to hit a big play against him. I think he is going to force us to have to drive the field. We won't be seeing coverages like we saw agains A&M.

first of all, Bama doesn’t need to stack the box to stop the run.
Well, let's just hope they feel this way too

I heard bama has 11 Clowney's on the field at once

You've got me genuinely interested at your motivation. I don't expect you to fess up but I'd venture an estimation that it's one of the following:
Good old fashioned Internet Troll. Lives for the joy of tweaking posters and getting an emotional reaction. Probability - 30%
You find it comforting to be able to criticize the coaches/players knowing that it's not something you will ever have to be put to the test to actually do something about. Probability -25%
You are actually a fan of school who it's so painful to root for that you feel it is more fun to troll here. Most likely school would be Tulane with an outside chance of Ole Miss and a lesser chance of ULL. Probability - 15%
Someone who has developed a hatred for Miles through some slight, real or imagined. i.e.: he wouldn't shake your hand in the rest room of Walk Ons or the restaurant where he does his radio show, one of his kids sports team beat a team you are affiliated with, he cut or didn't play favorite player of yours whom you may or may not have some actual connection or relationship with. Probability - 12.5%
You never got over Saban leaving - like a spurned husband who mistreats his current girlfriend/wife because he secretly pines for the one who dumped him years ago. Probability- 10%.
You are actually a fan of a successful school but still feel compelled to troll here - maybe thinking it will affect recruiting or some other bizarre goal. Probability - 5%
You are a hopeless idealist who actually thinks that, if everything is only done the way you know it should be that a team can go undefeated and win a national title for 5 or 10 years in a row. Probability - 2.5%.
So, what say you - should I embark on a 2nd career as an FBI profiler?

I was thinking more like 75%.

If not those, 100% college football mentally challenged.

How can anyone be encouraged by the performance of LSU's offense? Why is everyone optimistic? I don't understand.

Nothing. Miles doesn't think that we have an offensive problem. He has said that himself. We're playing Michigan-style ball, which is what he likes to do. So far it's worked for the most part, but it's agonizing to watch us struggle so mightily just to move the ball. Then our coaches go brain dead when we reach the red zone. It's not likely that we'll beat Bama next weekend. We will probably even struggle to beat Moo State and Arky, maybe Ole Miss too. We'll finish 10-2 or 9-3 and go to the Cotton Bowl and plenty of people will be satisfied with that, based on the shite we've had happen to us. Now, if August 31st rolls around and we see the same garbage offense against TCU in Dallas, then I will start to get very worried about the future of our program under Miles. At some point the QB play has to get better....it can't get much worse, and if we go yet another season with poor QB play, it will become painfully obvious to most that we have a coaching problem and not a talent problem.
Don't even know where to begin. Please do not identify yourself as an LSU fan. If you have tickets to the game, sell them. Go frick yourself.

Awesome dude, thanks so much for your insight!I almost went to your message boards to get your thoughts on this topic but you saved me the trip! Can I give you my home address so I can get your Alabama newsletter?

It's not the whole offense.
Our rush game is like 10 yds a game less than Bama and 4 yds less a game than Fla. who are the #1 and #2 teams in the BCS.

Why is everyone optimistic?
Everyone isn't...some here are running around looking for the tallest building to jump from cause it seems they are bout to crap in their pants due to their fear of big, bad Bama.
Others of us, are saying Bama damn good but LSU seems to be able to find a way to win at home so we willing to have some faith in our team.
What's so hard to understand?

Because there has been week after week of bitching about this teams ineptitude for years. We have 4 fricking losses in three years. That isnt a miracle. This team plays its own, effective brand of football. Yes we have have played ugly and won ugly.
This team could definitely improve, any team should strive to.
So bottom line: I am encouraged with the teams success. They play steadfast football and find ways to win games.

We havent won ugly every game. Yes the passing game sucks, yet Mett will most likely finish with over 2k yds. Im just tired of the complaining to do something diff, then when we do they want a mobile qb back. Its just retarded. Im am happy where we are it with a decimated team.
