Yeah im not thrilled about how we have started this season and i think we could have gotten off to a faster start, but I think that is because i am use to having a Championship caliber looking team. We have two NC in the last 5 years, the only other team that can say that is Florida. I think we just need to give it some time, i mean we have two more games to get sharpened up before Georgia and Florida. I mean Les Miles has done something right, he does have a National Championship.

Just a thought/question (optimistically):

Earlier Miles teams have started fast and lost momentum later in the season. Just wondering (hoping) a revised plan/schedule for training & practice may cause us to start slower and gain momentum as the season progresses like the Saban teams seemed to do. If so, that may be a good thing since we shouldn't have to be really sharp until the Georgia game.

I'm not really concerned overall, but our offensive and defensive lines looked slower relative to recent history. I wonder if their training regiment trained?

I'm just worried about tackling and putting pressure on the quarterbacks more from the line!!!

Offensive wise, we need Chuck to be more consistent along with Richard Murphy of course...

But overall, we need guys to stick it to them when tackling!!!!!!

We are going to get our butts tore up this year if we don't make some changes. Offense and defense is not producing, period.

I'm beginning to notice the same thing. Hopefully they can find some way to compensate for this before the big games roll around. I'm not extremely worried over this, but when I think about how much trouble a good vandy team gave us, I can't help but wonder how much trouble a good florida team is gonna give us. Speed is going to make a huge difference in that game.

You gotta be a clown if you're not concerned right now, offensively and defensively

We will have to make a HUGE improvement between now and the UF game if we plan to even hang with them

I think anyone that actually EXPECTS us to beat Florida this year is just setting themselves up for disappointment. Florida returns basically their whole team fresh off a MNC. They are the best team in the country, and it's not even close. While it is possible that we can pull the upset, their is no logical reason that any LSU fan should expect to beat Florida this year, especially considering how much better they were than us last year. We can still beat every other team on the schedule, contrary to what many people on here think. I'll take 10-2/9-3 and being in the mix to go to ATL all day after last year. If USC and Bama are truely the 3rd and 4th best teams in the country then I feel really good about what we can accomplish this year.

I have no clue why people act like the Crystal football is the definitive title.

It isn't like it has seniority or anything. Most fans are older than the first game with the crystal football (1986). The AP has been handed out since the late 30s.

Sorry you don't have any perspective and you aren't able to look down the road and see how this level of play will translate into 4-5 losses

Its funny, because these folks deflected complaints of team performance with the SAME EXACT EXCUSES last year.

Would have thought they have learned.

I can't believe there are still people arguing this.

USC won a title in 03. End of story, get over it. Now there are legit arguments as to that USC was properly left out, that the BCS is the "preferred" title, and that there are little to no lines of evidence supporting USC over LSU.

But 03 was a split.
