And people who come to spew their negativity all over everybody else's parade, why dont you guys just stay away?! We dont have room on the LSU pain train for a bunch of lifeless waste of human beings on the Band Wagon. We are inside single digit days, 9 to be exact before the season kicks off, and I still see people posting about how they are prepared to be let down, and they still remember that Les is our coach every single day. And not just here in TD, but on Facebook too. Please people grow some balls and learn to have some fun in life, if you cant be excited for the season about to start and this teams chances to win championship this year, then you have to be one miserable human being!
Last time I checked, Les Miles was a coach who makes the gameplan, and the PLAYERS ON THE FIELD execute the plays, not Les and not Cam, the Players do. So say what you want about the man, but im in true belief that he will put these guys in position to do the best they can and win games this year, it is also up to them to make it happen on the field. So lighten up a bit and soak up what can truly be a memorable and special year. Life is too short to be so freaking miserable!

Build a wall around Tigerdroppings and make the Negatigers pay for it. Make sure only "real" LSU fans get to stay behind.

Les is still our coach...
The single most successful coach in LSU history.

If you cant get behind a team full of 4/5 Star Jrs and Sr Studs, Led by the best player in college football, then what can you get behind? Bama? Then go be a Bama fan!

People that complain about obvious flaws are negatives?
If you can't see it...that's an idiot?

Way to start the season off trolling people who think differently than you. And an opinion different from yours doesn't mean it's negative.
Nothing wrong with knowing with some people holding back a little bit until we can prove to do what we haven't been able to do the last half decade. I think most fans are just as or more excited to get the season start than you.

So running the football with the best 2 deep backfield in the nation is a flaw?
Wake me up when the season starts... I know where this is going now. Gonna turn into an LSU QB thread....

I am not a Les fan but I hope He has been woken up by his near coaching death experience. I think he has killed it this off season with hires and recruiting. If he doesn't change his offensive style, it'll be the same show in November and you can only do that for so long before the brand gets old.
I honestly don't understand how you "positigers" can be so happy with the offensive game planning when you see and know the potential we have due to all the weapons. I guess if mediocrity is you know then I can see why. We aren't asking for a wide open offense. We are just asking to utilize and develop our QB in a way of the modern era and not to make the forward pass seem like some monumental task that takes 3-4 years to learn.

I knew this would turn into a fricking QB thread. Here we go, Brandon Harris Threw the ball alot last year. After he got hurt vs Bama he fell off with his accuracy. A few years ago, Mett threw the ball all over the field, or did you forget?

You mean the different opinions or views that are different than your own?

Correct

Said year in and out. I think some fans are tired of the 3rd in the West finishes and the 0-5 streak with Bama has doubts in peoples mind. The 4 million dollars that Les is paid should produce more than what it has over the past 5 seasons.

Doesn't matter to me what the record is or where they finish. LSU is not my life nor does it control my life and I do enjoy life.

I love these dumbass worthless post.

And yet, instead of focusing on the upcoming season, you took time to start a thread in which you do nothing but bitch about what other people are thinking, feeling, posting, etc.
When most people are happy, excited, having a good time, etc., the fact that someone else whom they don't even know is not as excited as they are is the absolute last thing they are thinking about, let alone running to a message board to post about. But not you. It's the most exciting time of the year, when you are presumably bursting with optimism and anticipation, and what's on your mind? Bitching about people you don't even know not being as excited as you are.
Pay attention to your own advice:

This. And people bitch constantly about qb like it's a Les issue. LSU has never been a big qb school. Also, qb recruiting is really the biggest crap shoot in football.

How do people not realize he's just a troll?
But anyway, this thread is just as pathetic as people who are perpetually negative and preparing to be let down. I prefer to be eternally optimistic about something as trivial as sports, but I understand people's apprehension.

The fact that you think it's OK to be an LSU fan, but not a Les Miles fan is telling.
If you're a fan of something/someone, you actively root for them to succeed. Of you're not a fan, you don't want to see them succeed. So, you see, since the objective measures of success for both the LSU football team and Les Miles is winning. If you're not a fan of Les, how are you a fan of LSU football?

Let me break down how LSU's offense works. It is a pro style offense that builds its passing attack on the foundation of a strong run game. For that reason, one of its cornerstones is the play action pass.
Running the play action pass effectively is one of the most difficult tasks a quarterback can undertake. This is due, in large part, to the fact that quarterbacks have their back turned to the defense during the execution of the fake. Thus the read/reaction time is razor thin.
Now, to your point, it DOES take 2-3 years at minimum for most (if not all) quarterbacks to learn to run the play action pass well.
However, since 2013, Les has not had a quarterback who is old/experienced enough to run the PA well.
The reason we are all so excited is that we have a veteran junior quarterback, who (before injury) played decently last season. Thus, the offense should necessarily benefit from his experience.
