And the big thing that people like rickdaddy ignore is that over and over Les made promises about changing up the offense that turned out to be a bunch of hot air. I've said this before, but after him almost losing his job last year you would have thought this time he would actually commit to it. I was horrified at what I was watching during the Wisconsin game. "How can still do this?"

You can talk about bad gameplans all you want, but Les had cultivated a stubborn bad philosophy over his tenure and it had more than run it's course. Orgeron made mistakes last year, but let's give him more than 4 games to put a stamp on his LSU coaching career.

He was a liar and a con man. He knew he could no longer compete with good programs, but didn't want to give up his nice fat salary. As a result he torpedoed an entire season and wasted the talents of numerous young players.

Dude, at this point it's not even about right or wrong.. you (and a few others) have went back and forth about CLM for thousands of posts now.. is it not getting old to you yet? At what point will you just say, "damn, this has gone on long enough, maybe I should just let it go"?

Do you have this same response to the posters that start threads about miles or bring him up in threads that have nothing to do with him?
Because I never start threads about him or bring him up.

Oh no....
Stating facts about 2005-2015 doesnt look good for me. I might be judged by anonymous message board posters. What will my sense of self worth do?

I would.. but take into consideration that you've spent HOURS going back and forth with this and you've gained absolutely zero ground.. it's just pointless, that's all

What, you want to talk about his efforts in the community or something? Just LOL. Who gives one ounce of a shite about anything but his production on the field?

Because there are all kind of factors involved. And not to mention he's admitted to mistakes he made back then and that's he learned from them. I know it's fun to take something from someone's past and hold it against them forever, but newsflash, people grow and change.

Plus, Ole Miss has become this broken record argument for the brainless who can't muster their own thoughts on the matter.

That was exactly my point... they want to always throw out his record without taking anything else into consideration

worse coaching job...EO vs bama 2016 or CLM vs Bama 1-9-2012?

we had a better team and an established coach that couldn't even cross midfield. CLM never changed anything up personnel wise.

No you just answer and respond to each and every one with the same facts over and over and over again....as if that will somehow change the perception people have of Miles legacy or diminish the embarrassment of his untimely demise.

Too bad we couldn't block long enough for that

Well, that wasn't because our offensive line was bad. Instead, it was because of the Les Miles offense that never changed. As Alabama always knew the plays we were running before the snaps. With most teams that didn't matter because they couldn't stop us anyway, but Alabama wasn't most teams.

Most coaches are always looking and searching for ways to improve, not Miles, he was fully content coasting in his gravy train job. The LSU program nonetheless was still strong enough to be able to produce an acceptable win-loss record despite the liability and excess baggage of Les Miles weighing it down. Getting rid of that loser and that dead weight was the best thing we could have done for LSU. Let's hope it wasn't too late.

Imagine what we will be able to do if we continue as usual fielding a strong defense, but from now on a strong defense with a strong offense.

Just because I love the hypocrisy of this site:

What is the point of all of the bash Miles posts? What is to be gained by those? Isn't he gone? Why?

Well let's give Curly a call if Ed fails. Curly has had a LONG time to "grow". He's probably at Saban levels of coaching prowess If we'd just give him a shot.

It wasn't the offensive line's fault and it wasn't Etling's fault. It was Les Miles and his idiotic Les Miles offense's fault. As Bama like everybody else too knew the plays we are going to run before the snaps and because they were better than everybody else, were able to make our offensive line and quarterback look back.

It didn't have to be that way, but with Les Miles and his immense stupidity, that's the way it was. Now, it won't be that simple to beat us anymore. Hallelujah!
