FG 5-10 3P 3-7 FT 5-10 ORB 1 DREB 4 REB 5 AST 7 STL 1 BLK 0 TO 0 PF 2 PT 18

I know people love to hate Timmy Q (especially considering he's been an excellent 6th man before this season) but we should also appreciate his contributions and him showing up against Tennessee. He played with fire and times and was selfish when needed but also selfless
when needed to be.

If we some how manage to improve against zone defenses and play more physical on defense The Tigers can turn some heads going forward!

After every damn loss. But LSU won today so the board is pretty slow. LSU fans only show up in force after a loss. Better luck tomorrow on your post.

He was very good today, as was Gray.
They play well this team can be really good.

Everyone knows this is what TQ is capable of doing. It is extremely frustrating as a fan to watch inconsistent play and effort. He should be doing this every game.

Dude I have loved Tim for so long...but people don't come here to shite on Tim.

Tim was a projected 1st rounder coming into the year, and he's played so poorly outside of 4-5 games that he's fallen off most draft boards. He has constantly clashed with Ben and rarely allows him to be Ben. Everyone gets pissed because Tim has this ability EVERY game, not just every 5-6th game. If we got the Tim we got today every game, we'd have 3-4 less losses and be in the tourney. But there's a reason he's averaging 11ppg and 3.5apg.

If Tim is fully engaged and fully invested, this team is strong. It has been that way since he arrived here. He is such a difference maker, but that can be in both a positive and negative manner. I just hope to see it tomorrow as well.

Agreed. Generally when he plays well, we tend to win quite often.

When they're in tune like today it's huge for this team.

LSU beat the worst team in the SEC conf., no reason to think TQ will be a factor when LSU plays a decent team tomorrow.

Technically they're the 4th team in the SEC.

Well, that's what the statistics and record say at least

I will say this in the win. His last two shots, the NBA 3 pointer and the diving reverse layup were bad shots... they just happened to go in.

He played OK, but he goes for a heat check after any made 3.

Reverse layup was not a bad shot. It was actually a great play

This guy has many problems:

He's not as good, as he seems to think he is...
He plays out of control, most of the time...
He's jealous of Simmons...
He plays 100%, only when HE wants to...
He can't hit half court shots like he wants to ...
& Tonight he just seemed batshit crazy
ect
ect
ect

He wants to run this offense, but he's not remotely good enough to run it.

He's sloppy, takes terrible shots, and drives to the basket with no control. Most of his play is benefited from his size over other smaller SEC guards

He played decent. His stats just look better because he knocked down a couple of his ill advised 3's. He is not a good shooter though. He is at his best driving to the hole using his length to get a shot/foul, or distributing. Dribbling at the top of the key, making lazy cross court passes and jacking up constant 3s is where he gets in trouble

Tim is an enigma. And honestly, not many coaches would be able to "coach" Tim. There is no denying Tim has moments of brilliance. And often times, his brilliance comes right when he seems the most out of control. The problem lies in the fact that tomorrow he could go 2/12 from the floor with 5 turnovers and that would not be surprising either.

I like to look at stats also but it is the things stats don't show that makes me want to strangle TQ sometimes. For instance, his whole body language just is so non-chalant and over confident. Today early in the game he dribbled the ball and it came up as high as his head and I was just what are you doing? His passes are never sharp or crisp but lazy and careless. Even when one of them works you hold your breath.

Even when he does something good I would characterize his play as awkward and out of control. And has there ever been a point guard that paid less attention to the shot clock than TQ? How many times has he dribbled all over the perimeter as the shot clock counts down and then takes a desperation three from half court? Steph Curry can make those. Quarterman only in his dreams.

Then there is the free throw shooting and the taking time off on defense. The rest of the team has been guilty of this stuff also but TQ is the worst offender and sets the tone as the team's primary ball handler and passer.

Has he played some brilliant games. Yes, no doubt. Has he been hot and hit a few of those long heaves of his. Yes, he has. What he has lacked is consistency and making the right decision at the right time.
