Do the coaches tell jennings pretty snap who to throw it to. #84 was wide open in the end zone after jennings forced one to neighbors.

He doesn't go through progressions very often. If his primary isn't open he usually stares them down hoping they get open and then gets sacked or throws it away if they don't manage it.

Yes, they said "I don't give a shite if he's doubt or triple teamed, throw the ball to the fullback running down the middle of the field."

He forced one to Fournette on the wheel instead of throwing a touchdown to Quinn on play action. He's inexperienced and not yet a good quarterback. It's really that simple.

You mean on the one he overthrew to Neighbors?
Neighbors was also wide open and most likely scores with a good pass.
You're an idiot

And actually I believe Harris missed a wide open TE in the endzone on the pick he threw

There are open players a lot, he just doeant see the openings. You could see the open routes when the camera replays would show the whole field from behind the offense view.

It's troubling because last night hid our passing issues. Our issues are still there larger than ever, imo.

Neighbors was covered, it is unlikely he could have scored, and the open guy was exactly that, a complete bust resulting in no one picking him up.

These types of threads are so silly.

If you, I, and everyone else agree he was open, don't you think Jennings would have thrown it to him had he seen it?

He also stood around for 15 seconds while Dural was jumping up and down wide open pre-snap because Kentucky was aligned incorrectly. Everyone in the stadium saw it, Jennings missed it. He's going to get better over time about capitalizing on things like all of these situations. Until then we will have to accept growing pains.

Every pass play is designed to have progressions. Pre snap read, Read 1, read 2, etc. Because Jennings is young and inexperienced, he rarely gets to his second and third progression. He looks to the first read and it almost always "looks" open to him, because he doesn't have the experience to know otherwise. In this Air Coryell offense the first read is often the 9 route and that is why we throw it deep to Dural a lot.

When he did get to his second or third progression last night, we hit big plays. On the pass to the tight end, you can clearly see him look to one receiver, look to another, and then find the tight end over the middle.

Experience is everything.

I posted this in a similar thread on score board last night.

They ran that exact play around the same field position earlier this year. TE was wide open but Harris opted to throw to the FB (Jones I believe). That play was successful with a TD but it seems the QBs are trained to look at the FB first and only.

The FB is the main option on that play silly. Jesse Palmer even said so during the broadcast. QBs are taught to throw the ball to the FB on those plays.

That play is a version of spider 2 Y banana. Read 1, is the full back in the flat, read 2 is the tight end. This is a situation where Jennings' inexperience doesn't not allow his to realize that the second read is wide open for a TD. It's like he is playing With tunnel vision right now. As he gains experience his vision will improve.

Nah, he's young but not inexperienced. We're 2/3rds of the way through his second season at LSU.

He has 9 starts and he throws about 14 times a game. That's inexperience, sorry.
