This always devolves into an argument of people who do leave early getting so outraged they're being told what to do.

30,000 will leave at halftime no matter what. 5,000 season ticket holders have sold their Bama tickets before the season started.

Those shots of Alabama and A&M really point out how much our fan base sucks.

I'm not making excuses, but Bama's sidewalk fanbase goes to these rent a win games in droves because tickets are cheap and they make their one trip a year to Mecca...so they'll stay the whole game.

A&M has a hard on for being the greatest fanbase ever. Not to mention they have traditions that keep them there through the end of the game.

I just don't understand why people care so much about when fans leave
Once upon a time -- and well within my lifetime -- Tiger Stadium was a feared and intimidating place to play, for anyone. The sole reason for that was that LSU fans packed the stadium almost every night, and we jumped and screamed every second our defense was on the field, no matter who the opponent was and no matter what the score was. Up 77-0 in the 4th quarter vs. Rice in 1977, the stands were mostly full of people screaming at the top of their lungs for the defense to stop the Owls. That's just the way LSU fans were back then, and that is what built the reputation Tiger Stadium once had. Very few fans in the stands are like that today, so Tiger Stadium is basically a non-factor in all but a handful of games, and then only if we get just the right combination of factors. We were down 10 in the 4th quarter against Florida in '09 and could barely get any noise going at all for our defense because so many of the fans were either booing or leaving in protest over Jefferson's performance. That's not intimidating, and it's not a benefit to the team like Tiger Stadium used to be. And lots of people (myself included) used to really enjoy the fact that we were part of something like that, and we would love to see modern LSU fans embrace that so Tiger Stadium can be something great again.

1-time re entry? I don't think any venue in the country allows this.

LSU used to give passes for re-entry back in the late 70s and early 80s. I can remember leaving a game soaking wet and returning dry.

they really should reduce tickets to the greek section if they keep leaving early. Its an obvious section that fills last and empty's first. Just let them get tickets with the rest of the students. The north endzone and south endzones typically have the fans that stay the longest. One thing atm does that is interesting is have the senior level lower with better seats and the freshman are up on the third deck. Will be different with the new stadium but interesting concept.

Our fans are the Miami Heat of the SEC. They can't be bothered to stay around and support the team they only see 6-7 times a year. Blowout or not. They're more concerned with getting drunk again, something that can be done on 365 days of the year. More interested in going get something to eat at the tailgate because nobody has ever survived not eating for 4 hours. Don't want to sit in traffic. Because nobody has ever sat in traffic after a big event.

Alcoholic, lazy, spoiled, whiny, fatties. That pretty much describes the average LSU fan.

I love LSU and I love Louisiana, but what LSU fans are doing right now is embarrassing. It will affect recruiting and the team.
