I was just in there for the Superfest. I'm out of the city right now, but I'll be back soon. If LSU's latest update photos doesn't settle this question, I'll go grab some pics myself.

So you haven't seen it in person. Based on the pics shown a few posts up they certainly don't look to be the same color. I'll be up there tomorrow for Father's Day so I'll see if I can crack the case.

I think people are missing something.
This part of the tower is masonry. I could be wrong, but I don't think that's getting painted, or finished in any way except polishing.
The rest of the SEZ addition will match that color...

Scroll up. I apologized already for the misunderstanding on my part. My confusion stemmed from the fact that the coloring looked different from one pic to the other, due solely to sunlight...
The difference in the colors from north to south can be explained the same way...
I even made a thread once, back in February, asking how LSU fans would feel if Tiger Stadium were to get a tan stucco finish all the way around...
Would you be upset if Tiger Stadium had tan stucco...
I was even asked what lead me to create the thread...

the whole expansion...the boxes on top...the facade outside...is so fricking ugly. Frankenstein stadium...in 10 years it will look horrible.

I just walked around the stadium. I don't see how people are saying the north and south match.
The new south expansion has the stucco finish panels on the arches which appears to match the columns of the west and north.
How are people getting their info that the sides match? From a contractor?

I took my kids out there Sunday to go see Mike and to take a look at the progress. I agree with you. The SEZ is getting some kind of stucco panel finish on it. I was really surprised to see that. It's not even close to what they did on the North side.
