I'll just put this out there for some of you to chew on.
A couple of weeks back Scott Woodward went on Jim Engster's radio show and raised eyebrows by trashing Ed Orgeron publicly for having said nice things about Trump.
Woodward said it was a "mistake" for Orgeron to have complimented the president, following Engster's suggesting, under the cover that the question came from a "listener" who thought it was a "mistake" for Orgeron to have said something nice about Trump.
Then Orgeron puts out a statement to that Senate committee yesterday which is clearly written by LSU's attorneys, and it contains some holes in it - in that it suggests discrepancies between his previous statements about whether he ever talked to Gloria Scott. They aren't major, but they're unmistakable.
Now this gets released by Engster's LSU sports mag, who clearly lobbed Woodward a softball question so that Woodward could take a swing at Orgeron.
These people are old-school Louisiana Democrat political fixer types. You should assume none of this is an accident.
And you should not ignore this pattern. It's fairly well apparent that Woodward is building a file on Orgeron.
If he has another .500 season he's certainly gone. What's worth watching is what else gets pushed out on him even before the season starts.

all the old stuff with O and his drinking and domestic abuse was a google search away before he even came here. Not exactly new info, thought it was known and agreed it was a previous phase in his life.
