My grandmother. Big time football fan. Would run outside and do cartwheels in the yard when her teams scored, and would call me after all the big wins. Passed earlier this year.

This is one of, if not the best thread I've seen on here.

My grandfather...he was a prime example of not getting worked up over a game...very unlike his grandsons!

He didn't like going to games because he had knee trouble, but I was fortunate to get to attend one game with him vs Miami in 1988. We got trounced. Lol

Anyway, I think he'd enjoy just being around all of his family to watch this one.

Here's to the little man in the cowboy hat...pull us through PawPaw!

My grandfather and Coach Mac. He coached under Coach Mac until they were both dumped. Neither ever lost their love for LSU. I miss talking with my grandfather before each season about how the team looked. RIP Coach Pevey and Coach Mac!

My dad and my brother. My father died almost 11 years ago. I remember him having a conversation with my cousin during his last Christmas (Dec. 2000). He believed Saban was a good coach and would turn our program around, but he didn't think he would ever live to see The Tigers win another National Championship. It amazes me, but yet breaks my heart that I have had the opportunity to witness two and hopefully a few more.

To former LSU basketball player Duane "Disco D" DeArmond. Noone could ask for a better friend or tiger fan.

I spoke to him a few days before he passed away and made him promise me two things. First, to say hello to my deceased sister whenever he got to heaven. He said "yes". The second was to see to it that LSU would win the BCS national championship every other year. He paused and said "Well we'll have to see about that one."

RIP Big D. I know you'll be watching.

My dad........we had tickets for the 2003 Championship Game, and he passed away the Monday before. I took my nephew instead whom my dad was looking for a ticket as well.

We went to just about all of the games home and away together.....think about him after every game. Wish he could have been here to see the Golden Age of LSU Football.

Bump big time.....for Mom: a student in late 1950's and grad student in the early 60's....just simply enjoyed her Tigahs winning or competing(all sports)....she would yell "RUUNNNN...." when a play was breaking open...just a sight to see/hear a southern Mom .... I really was thrilled to show her Mike's new home a few years back....missed daily...never forgotten: Mom....RIP....she passed late Sept. 2010....b4 Tenn last year...

Definitely my Grandpa John who passed away in December 2004.
I remember driving on the road in new orleans near florida boulevard and the train tracks above (Have no idea what its called) and him telling me. I was only about 10 or 11 at the time. I had never dealt with something like that before and I was depressed for months. Didn't think I would ever get over it. He had a stroke a few years before I was born but I remember visiting him and seeing him laying in his wheelchair and telling me "Roll tide roll, round the bowl and down the hole, roll tide roll"

My grandfather--I remember sitting with him in his kitchen as he leaned against the counter over the radio to hear the gravelly play by play. I remember watching LSU beating No. 1 Florida in 1997 with him. I got tickets for him twice when I was a student--once in 1990 and again in 1991 (not LSU's finest period). He fought to stand up so he could see the game over the rowdy students, even though he was battling bone cancer. I wish my mom and grandmother could be here, too.

My twin brother, Dale Lambert. Was one heck of a LSU fan, most years in the state of Tennessee. He would absolutely love ths season, it really breaks my heart I cannot be with him for this game. And thanks to Les Miles for taking his cap off and sending it to my brother during his last days, Dale got gifts from both Les and Dale Brown just before he died and he was thrilled to show them off....bittersweet this game is....
