After years of complaining/threatening season ticket holders for occasionally re-selling their own tickets...LSU has partnered with.....get this....STUBHUB, to get their own SECOND bite of previously sold tickets ! Talk about TWO-FACED ...lol

over priced seats

They weren't over priced when YOU voluntarily bought them. You paid what you thought they were worth to you.

For sale on Facebook,4 tickets 9 rows up from field with parking pass across the street from stadium for $420. Ticket face value are $110 each so less than face value with "free" parking pass and still for sale after a few hours.

It's all about worth. Does a season ticket holder buy season tickets because they enjoy THEIR seats, or their section, or because they like to get to know their neighbors and see them every year? Do they enjoy not having to look for tickets the week before or on game day? Do they buy season tickets because they're guaranteed to have them again next year, better seating at bowl games, family tickets for 50 years, or simply to monetarily support the program? All of that, or some of that, or other things create the value in season tickets, none of which may be valuable to other people

Well said. I used have season tickets to multiple teams/sports, usually buying the 2nd or 3rd cheapest level of seats. About 8 years ago I stopped all of that and started using places like stubhub. I don't go to every game anymore, but I enjoy the experience a lot more and saved a ton of money. Now I buy tickets almost exclusively in what would be considered expensive areas at a fraction of the cost.

I miss getting a real shot at playoff tickets, but in the end I actually enjoy this experience more.

It's not worth the hassle to get into the game now if you have young children or someone who is up in age unless you can park close enough. The experience has gone down considerably in and around the stadium and it won't get any better with them trying to sell every space they can and closing up access to others.

Season ticket holder (4) since 2000. Last year for me. Most aspects of the game day experience are losing appeal to me.

Yeah, what's most unsettling, in my opinion, is the continued (actually increased) fleecing of the fan base even as increased revenues from the SEC network have poured in. Not sure what they're thinking.

LSU will feel it next year I I'm pretty sure that they already know it's coming. It should be interesting to watch.

If the admin. don't stop squeezing the loyal season ticket holders i.e. Higher parking, concession, ticket,TAF fees along with constantly f'ing with the tailgate scene...all w/o giving much of ANYTHING back to the season ticket holders...well, once you lose a good "customer", you know what they say...lol
IF, aleva was searching/probing for the "tipping point", I believe he has FOUND it ! The "casual ticket shoppers" are NOT going to pony up and fill the potential void !They are now used to and conditioned to expect to get 1/2 off face prices or less, for most games !
The "golden goose" is preparing to fly south...lol

So dumb to add seats instead of keeping it at 93k and renovating. Work on the gameday experience and improve facilities etc.

This is why I don't buy the "LSU has priced out the middle class fan" crowd's complaint. It hasn't been this easy to get affordable, below market tickets in 15-20 years.

Yeah, in a shite show year when no one wants to put forth effort to attend. You have no legit argument.

If LSU were undefeated, this wouldn't be an issue. College Gameday would be here and everyone would be snapping up tickets.

Nah not this fan base. Remember LSU fans sold the home field advantage to Bama in the Dome.

If you buy season tickets to resell, then you bought them for the wrong reason in the first place.

I have seen the same person selling their tickets on my Facebook page to every single game so far. They are so far out of touch with reality its hilarious. Chattanoga tickets were on sell for OVER face value. I then see the Troy tickets on sell, again for over face.

I guess after having to eat those two tickets, they tried to get smarter. Less than 10 minutes after the Florida win the Auburn tickets popped up on my news feed, trying to sell them for face.

I bet the struggle is real for people who buy LSU tickets to try to make a quick buck this season. I couldn't even give a Troy ticket away.

The average LSU fan doesn’t understand the ticket market. They say “I paid x dollars, why can’t I get that back for every game?” The reason is because LSU tix are a stock, and right now the stock doing very poor.

It is honestly because it has been so hot lately, and the forecast looks to be just as bad.

When you don't have the "I was there for this game" factor, because we have lost 2, people just aren't going to show up. Especially with limited tailgating.

Prices would be higher if this were a night game.

TAF fee on lower bowl/sideline seats is $900+...now add your actual ticket cost ! "Face value" does not nearly cover the "real cost".

As someone else has stated, the "real cost" is not what a one game ticket buyer should be paying for. He doesn't get to sit there every game, he gets no bowl game preference, no parking pass rights, etc.

People that think they should be able to get face plus all fees are unreasonable. Nobody is going to pay for you to sit on season seats and go to just the games you want.
