LA is #1 in per capita, but acting like Florida doesn't have enough blue chippers to support 3 major universities is ignorant.
I'm not saying LSU is in a worse position, just that it's not any better than FSU. Recruiting capabilities would be a wash between the two.
ETA: Not to mention FSU and UF both have talent righ Georgia right next door. There is more than enough talent in those two states to support 5-6 major universities + 5-6 smaller ones.

This is one of the most nonsensical arguments that always gets thrown out here. There is no per capita football team. You can't line up with 9 guys. Absolute numbers are what matters.

I don't disagree. Both are great places for recruiting. The only coach at LSU that I ever remember having major issues with recruiting was Mike Archer and he took over at a good time when LSU had talent.
