He really can't be fired soon enough. Following Alleva's very well deserved firing of course.

Year in year out means dude won 9 plus games like every year you retard. You are trying to tell me I need to wait two to three years for that from, O. Why?

Net, what's up, baw? Hope the links are treating you right.
O needs 2 years before a judgement is made. Personally, I think he will be a successful coach for years to come.
For you knee-jerk idiots who disagree, go eff yourself.

Do y'all realize that Georgia lost 5 games last year and many people were doubting that hire including our fans and many SEC fans?
Now look what Georgia is doing!! That could be us if Ed O makes some good moves the rest of this year, into next year and if he can close out the class strong. If we improve on our season next year and these young guys now know what it takes to be an SEC player, they can make a run at this and the 2019 class could be special. Once this 2017 class are junior this should be a championship caliber team, if O can stay in JUCOs and take transfers we need to fill holes. He can do this shite. Our fans need to back off just a little after a huge win, ON THE ROAD in the SWAMP, against a RANKED team. Yes Orgeron did that. Go figure.

Ed’s got this. I’m confident he gets it done.

quote:right the ship? He inherited a ship leaning to the left. Within 5 games he flipped it with the Troy game. This game was him just pulling out the life raft.
to right the ship

Nope.
The whole premise to CEO as our HC was that the coordinators would be the best and allowed to do their job AND that the mistakes at Ole Miss were not to be repeated.
As soon as the team struggled and the heat from boosters/fans/media got hotter, he immediately reverted to his old ways of micro-managing and only listening to those personally close or loyal to him thereby limiting the objective input.
So the entire premise is busted. And busted as soon as things got tough. His inability to deal with adversity has bled to the team also.

Ed will need 2-3 years minimum to right the ship. Lots of people want to give up on Ed, but’s the loser mentality most people from LA have. It’s why Saban despised the fan base here.
Ed will get to an SEC championship game in 2 years. He’ll win it in his 3rd.
Ed gets 2-3 years to get it done. He will.
i think you mean "sink the ship"

This is the type of win to give low information fans and administration decision makers false hope in O.
Florida has something like 9-10 players (including multiple starters) suspended for a credit card fraud case and were starting a freshman QB because Del Rio got hurt. And we still only beat them thanks to a missed extra point.

Did Georgia lose to a Sunbelt team and get butt fricked by Vandy? 'Cause that's what happened to us against Troy and State. Dude Florida could have easily been 1-3 coming into this game. We didn't just beat an SEC powerhouse. If O were a half decent coach he'd be saying the same thing but how much you wanna bet he'll be bragging about beating a depleted UF team this week?

On a botched extra point no less.

How about this: Saban despised the fans here but actually likes the inbred rednecks in Tuscaloosa? WTF? He's a mercenary, and he'll sell his talents to the highest bidder. If LSU had a place (and enough money) for him after his NFL foray, he'd be coaching here today.
Eaux wins the SEC West in 2018? Are we talking about the same knucklehead that just lost to a Sunbelt team and failed to cover the spread against a piss-poor Florida team? Are we assuming LSU beats Alabama in 2018? The same Bama team that is manhandling the Aggies 17-3 right now? I mean it's the Aggies, and they enjoy a little manhandling but still...
I'm all about the Tigers succeeding, but LSU fired a coach who was 114–34 and replaced him with a goddamn clown. In Les's eleven full seasons, he averaged over 10 wins per season. Love him or hate him, LSU traded a guaranteed 10 win season average for a coonass with a purty binder.
But keep on sipping that KoolAid.

Hating on O after a huge win on the road and killing some folks confidence in him immediately after a big win on the road, in the swamp, against a ranked FL team isn't being a fan, or is it fair judgment. It's very one sided. So no you can't hate on the guy for losing and winning, that's just hate, it's not fandom.
The team can make improvements, and he can win on the road against ranked teams in the SEC, that's a positive step. If you don't want to admit that well then you really aren't a true blood LSU fan and suck it.
