We are def not great and maybe not good but we have good enough bats to go on a streak

I lost lots of confidence after today

Same here, but I have a hard time seeing this level of talent coming out of high school and not producing. I'm still in the slumping camp for a couple more weeks, if it doesn't improve then it's certainly lack of ability or poor coaching.

I just feel like this team is a lot like the 2010 team. Paul has been in fricking shock since they killed the bats after 2009.

6 other NCBWA top 30 teams dropped their first 2 this weekend all to unranked teams.

UNC, NcSt(at home), FIU, Auburn, Texas A&M, Oregon.

Having watched alot of the teams this year there just isnt alot seperating teams 11-50.

I've been following LSU baseball since the early 1980s closely...this is the worst hitting team I ever remember. I know on paper they are talented, but I'm just not seeing it.

Meh, LSU had the best team in the country last year. Just got cold at the wrong time.

well he was shell shocked for two years, 2010 and 2011. He whined and made excuses about the bats.

Got to agree its not looking good currently but all we have to do is be 1 of the 34 at larges.

I'm not seeing alot out of the mid majors this year as far as depth.

Right now 1-14 is muddled in the SEC and 4-12 is in the ACC.

Boyd Nation disagrees:
Pseudo RPI
That would be a #2, probably at ULaLa or maybe white Rice or FSU. I'm scalping my ticket for a seat on the bandwagon.
BTW, according to the RPI, the better team won both today.

If we cannot host, would love to be number 2 in ULL regional.

Agreed at this point they won't win a series the rest of the year. Scoring two runs isn't getting it done.

What about these teams?

Oregon(8 losses), Fullerton(9 losses), NC State (10 losses), UNC (11 losses), Miss St (10 losses), Clemson (9 losses)

All top 20 teams by the way(which means at least in discussion for hosting and most likely 2 seeds.

Have any of these teams above scored more than four runs in a conference game yet this season I know one team that hasn't

Too poorly coached. I mean bad on the interior infield, plate, and on the bases..Hope they can pull it together, but it has to start at the top, and changes are needed to shake things up..

NC State has scored 32 runs in 11 conf games (3-8).

8 of those 32 runs were scored in 1 game against FSU which they still lost 9-8.

These teams will surely be in the field. To get a better comparision you would need to find 7th or 8th place teams in power conferences and 2nd and 3rd place mid major teams and compare their scoring. Let that sink in and then check their pitching and defense stats as well.
