“I can’t stand it,” Harris said of the criticism of LSU’s passing game. “I play with a chip on my shoulder every single week. I say this real humbly: this team knows how talented we are passing the ball; everybody knows what I can do throwing the football.
“It really hurt when people say all we have is a running game. Keep doubting me, I love it. I think the receivers love when people doubt us. Teams are going to be out to stop seven [Fournette]. They put nine in the box, I’ll say thank you and take advantage of it.”
Harris the the passing game are coming along nicely, and they are certainly building confidence that should pay dividends down the road.

Get 'em baw, hope the Gameday guys have shite to say about our passing game on Nov. 7th. But they seem to know who LSU is.
Here's looking at you Pollack.

Like I wrote in another thread, the emergence of a passing game in the past two weeks is the biggest development in Tiger football in years.

Harris has been just fine. LSU's passing approach still leaves a lot to be desired. When was the last time the scheme actually got a receiver open in space? Harris has to be absolute perfect on really tough throws in order to get the passing game going.
He has done nothing at the QB position to make anyone distrust him. The passing game at LSU could be a real weapon, not just something they use to hopefully hit a big play or when they are forced to on 3rd down.

Do you think that LSU's WRs are overrated?

last night several times i saw nice play actions in run formations that gave the receivers big advantages downfield.
the flea flicker i would say gave dupre a advantage running free downfield
i thought the coaches called a great game last night. Got a little conservative in the second half but I thought as well as Miles did that Florida would wear down. Credit to Florida for playing hard and not wearing down, that was impressive. The holding call on the first drive killed that possession.
the next 2 drives is where they got conservative. A nice play action pass on first down would have been money

been that way since he (cam) got here. It's weird because with the way defenses stack the box and with the fact that we have Fournete, with the quality of recievers we have, and with as seldom as we throw, you would think it would be easy to design plays that get your primary first read recievers running wide open all day.
I'm sure it would not be to tough for most OC's to do. Maybe it's a function of our 'pro style offense' and 'complicated' pro style route trees with their 'pro style' reads.

I don't think they can all be over rated. Might be something else.

The flaw I see is in the pass protection. Sometimes it just doesn't seem to be there.

he throws a pretty fricking ball. i still hate that that TD against state got called back

Love the chippy attitude from Harris. I knew it was a good sign last night when our guys gathered at the 50 and started going wild.

You know people are taking notice. Hell, even Joey Galloway, at the ESPN halftime show, was pumped up by Harris' performance. I thought that was the kiss of death, for sure.

After the bomb at the end of the first half, he was on the sideline saying, "How do you like that, motherfricker?" - I in real life.

I think he showed it last night. Against a team that claims to be DBU he thre for over 200 yards, played a nearly mistake free game, made accurate passes, didn't turn the ball over, and made Florida DBs look silly at times.
BH is something special that we haven't had for a long time.
