I would seriously be angry if this miracle happened, because we would miss the playoffs. Our losses are terrible, bama would go instead.

Even that might not be enough to get past the Troy loss. I could see Herbstreit lobbying for Alabama to go instead.

They would still give a playoff spot to a 1 loss bama over us, even if we beat them.

One word. Troy. I respect the high expectations though. Doubt we beat Bama either but I damn sure didn’t think Syracuse would beat Clemson either. Every year Bama plays one subpar game. Here’s to hoping it’s against us.

Things are never as good as they seem, nor never as bad as they seem.

Disclaimer, the idea of us beating Bama is highly unlikely. That being said, Bama will also have to play a pretty good Auburn team at the end of the year. LSU still controls its destiny.

I think we’ve seen the best our team can do with this week’s win. Still very proud of the players for rebounding like they have.

Love your enthusiasm, and wish I could have some of what you're smoking.

I'm not gonna say you're wrong, but it will take some serious growth of this team, lot of luck with injuries, balls bouncing our way, and ref calls going our way (and we all know how it goes @ bama) to get there.

That is sure a lot of "IFS" in one sentence and a 1/2 of a season. But, depending on how the moon shines, we could do it.

and as always,

Yep. When winning is not enough... LSU would have to beat Alabama "convincingly" as well as Georgia to even be considered -- alternatively, win out in any fashion and almost all the other conference champs have at least 2 losses (which probably won't happen).

Hold your horses, Scooter! We're still growing...young pups definitely are talented and playing so much in their freshmen year will only get them well seasoned for next year. But let's not get stupid. One can hope that we beat Bama but chances are really slim. I love the Tigers, but let's be real. You will be wrong on this one!
