The close game trope is a delusion. Most games in every sport are close and nobody ever subtracts close wins when they bring up this kind of stuff.

Honestly, yes. Doing this two years in a row would be major cause for concern. I still think Jay is a top 5 coach in college baseball, but his evaluations for putting the 2024 team together have proven to be awful. The older players who are underperforming will likely be asked to look around. I’d guess we hit the portal as hard as anyone for proven veterans to turn this thing around asap.

Im hoping that we go 10-5 to finish. And 11-4 could be possible.
Who knows, maybe we’ll turn it on the rest of the way, one has to hope I guess.
At this point the only good news is if we do somehow find a way into the tournament we’ll obviously be playing well at that point. Cause there’s no other way to make the tournament at this point than to basically play very good in the last 15 games.
