Removing the statues in New Orleans did not change history. Those men still taught for slavery. That's still in the book. Now, we don't honor them by looking at a pro slavery symbol

You don't know what those men fought for except what has been rammed down your throat by our failed education system. The Civil War was not fought over the issue of slavery.

That is YOUR opinion and you don't get to decide for the rest of us. My 17 yr old GGF fought in this war and I will honor him for his service. Not only that but I will see that proper history is disseminated on public forums and on down to younger generations of my family.

One component later in the war was slavery but slavery didn't start the war. It was Northern aggression. The North wanted the cotton grown in the South for a pittance and planned to tax Southern planters. That's what began the revolt.

No need to change the name at all, but if the snowflakes get their way, just simply change the verb describing the TIGERS to an equally or more aggressive verb or adjective than "fighting' and retain the mascot TIGERS with the equal or more aggressive verb\adjective. Not sure if I selected the correct conjugation of the preceding word to Tigers.

The South was paying 75% of the federal budget due to the tariffs on imported goods from Europe. Most of this money ended up being spent on projects for northern interest. Six million southerners were getting the economic shaft from twenty million northerners. The South had had enough and decided to go it's own way, without the north. The north didn't want to give up it's sweet deal and ultimately re-enslaved the south while making sure that the south was never an economic threat to the north ever again. They did this by freeing the slaves, which instantly removed over four billion dollars in wealth from the South while crippling their economy and through reconstruction which hamstrung the south politically.

Leonard Marshall is about to appear on it to talk about his brain donation to science. Wonder if they will ask about Mike the racist tiger..

We need to attack these people. We need to boycott their employers and ruin them professionally as well as personally.

The wealthy planter class is the ones who held slaves but the majority in the South were dirt poor, many sharecroppers. These people had no slaves, so they would have not fought in this war.
