The national media built this now trashes LSU fans for it.

The Rant created this. People bitching 24/7 got the local media to pay attention. Now the national drive-by sports media have picked up on it. They will swarm in, shoot up the place, then move the frick on down the road. LSU will be left to pick up the pieces, with a bunch of bullet holes all over the place. Won't be pretty at all.

Everybody said 9-3 or 8-4 record this season before Fournette got rolling with a healthy line and FBs. Now that we're exactly where we thought we'd be, everybody's bitching.

Yes, the offense is WAY too predictable. Yes, we have a gameplan that relies on physical domination, and get owned when a team can match up physically(Bama). Even weaker teams can see how to beat us but can't. The teams that aren't quite as big/strong/fast as us but can gameplan well enough beat us, sometimes soundly.

The man saw 9-6 as confirmation that his style works. Nothing that has occurred since has changed his mind. 1/9 emasculated him, and he has never recovered. He's bringing in top classes now to replace those who go to the NFL, and should have been given the chance to see it through. Fire him after next year.

Nope, that couldn't happen. Rantards are so panic stricken that we must fire the guy now, even without anybody really on the market to replace him. The ensuing dumpster fire is exactly what we deserve as spoiled fans.

Thank you SoulGlo, I could not have said it better myself.

That post explains reason and that lack thereof of the "fire him now" crowd. The "Fire him now" crowd remind me of the liberals who want to take guns away from everyone to prevent crime. Statistics show that doesnt work, just as firing a winning coach usually doesnt help the situation. LSU was the exception to the rule when Saban Left. USC, Texas, Miami, Tennessee, Nebraska, hell Tulane, Alabama are all the rule.

Giving les another year will only doom this program further in an attempt to give Les a chance to rectify himself (again) after he's failed numerous times as of late. Les doesn't deserve another opportunity to hire more staff when he's a lame duck coach at odds with our AD with a recruiting class left running away at the moment.

In my defense, I wanted him fired long, long ago.

Les miles created a faction of LSU fans that hated him before game one and tried to make things as miserable as possible the last 11 years?

he has had 4 years to recover from 1/9 with "top classes" but still has the same results... How long do you give him to "recover" before its time?

its crazy how much importance people place on this message board.

like it has potential to sway decisions and make changes to the program .

No not even close. The undisciplined , disorganized, stale product Les Miles has put on the field the last two years has caused this. Nothing else.

I'm pretty sure a lot of luck had to do with the 9-6 score too. Didn't the kicker with massive arms miss like 3-4 field goals?

The national championship game against Bama created this. The lack of production while loaded with talent created this. The bad coaching decisions created this. The common denominator in all of this is Les Miles.
