Wouldn't that be on both sides of the ball. I do not follow recruiting classes that closely and just passively pay attention until the player actually steps foot on campus. But to me, it appears that our recruiting classes are ranked so high bc we are getting 4&5 star WRs, RBs, QBs, & DBs. But, we seem to just fill most of our front 7 & O-line with whatever scholarships are left.

You sound like a bunch of oussies afraid to break up with a hot girl that constantly cheats on you. She's great arm candy but she just can't stop lying and cheating, but what if I don't find any better? That's a loser mentality. It's time to upgrade

I love this simile, and think it can almost perfectly describe our current situation. But, I think it is more like Les is our current gf who is NOT hot, maybe an OT 4, but has a fantastic personality. Where the problem lies is the fact that she doesn't do it for us... And can you fault a man for wanting companionship AND gut sprayin' from an OT 9???

Just because you enjoy being around someone, doesn't mean that you're wrong for wanting another vital aspect of relationships...

It amazes me that people actually believe that a sports forum can yield such persuasion and power. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Les Miles, and the program he has built at LSU, and the Tigers should be eternally grateful. There does come a time, however, in the age of "instant" that you either evolve or get swallowed up in the process. Time has been good to Miles and LSU and I, for one, would like to remember it that way. Time to play Miles in our Hall of Fame and move on so that our fans, collectively, support our team.

On the media, Absolutely. There are proven instances where major media gets their info from this exact forum.

so can you tell me why the media didn't run with this board in 09 and last year and all the other times the masses have screamed to fire Miles?

The man saw 9-6 as confirmation that his style works

This is idiocy. First of all, the main reason we had any success moving the ball on offense and resulting in a whopping 9 points was that Les ran the hell out of the option, and Saban was not prepared for it. And make no mistake - we needed several major bounces to go our way to win that game. If Saban doesn't screw up some critical calls/get in his own kicker's head and Reid doesn't make a game saving INT, we would be talking about how Les is 1-8 against Alabama over the last 9 games, instead of just how he is 0-5 over the last 5. (Ignore the fact that Les was apparently dumb enough to roll into 1/9/12 with the same damned plan thinking Saban wouldn't be ready to defend it and having no plan to adjust if the option were shut down).

If anyone sees no touchdowns, 9 points, 91 passing yards, 3-11 3rd down conversions, 240 total yards and 7 penalties as proof that a style "works," well, I guess that person would be a mindless Les Miles crusader. Ignore the product on the field and don't worry about how to fix/improve it as long as you get the W in any given game, even when those Ws are frequently the result of flukes and dumb luck against lesser "quality" opponents that don't even belong in the same stadium.

This November stretch has exposed every single flaw on this team.

Pretty much. We hoped the big plays we were giving up would be shored up with experience, they weren't.

We hope by the time November rolled around the passing game would have started to mature, it didn't.

Special teams continued to get worse and worse.

Our biggest skin on the wall during that fast start was over a UF team that has struggled to beat Vandy and FAU at home as of late.
