It seems that they are not being coached up, or hustling and playing up to their physical ability.

The way they're playing, I cringe to think about what will happen to them against Kentucky next Tuesday

If not for pulling some games out late, this team could very easily be 1-8!

Ky can beat this club by 20 with just their bench players. A complete total mismatch in talent & coaching.

you are just now figuring this out? I'm not a negatiger, but call it like it is. I said 9-9 even after they were off to a good start...the conference is weak. Realistically only one team with the ability to advance far in the tourney from the SEC. Team lacks far too many fundamentals to play consistent basketball.

What pisses me off is the team should be getting better and we arent. We are 22 games in and we still can't inbound the ball in crucial moments.

They have the pieces. They just are Not coached well. There is NO discipline. If there was, the mental frick ups solved would add a +15.

Slightly disagree with them having the pieces. They have 6 capable players and those 6 are far from consistent.

Of the 15 turnovers committed tonight (which is an improvement from most games), 11 were committed by Mickey and Martin.

Wholeheartedly agree with the coaching comment. We don't have one go-to play in the entire offensive package, which I'm beginning to believe is a page at most. It is discouraging that auburn scored often and especially when they needed to right under the basket on a designed offensive play.

I counted at least three times that LSU had the ball coming out of a timeout and failed to even get a shot off. Oh and inbound plays shouldn't be this difficult. That's a sign of poor coaching.

Letting Aub lead wire-to-wire for all intent purposes, and letting every level of team they play(regardless of where they are on the talent totem pole), stick around the whole way SCREAMS of this team's lack of fire.

Even with LSU's overrated talent level, the fact that they rarely(outside Fla win,etc..), ever put away some teams away that may be coming into the game off recent big game or bad scheduling(letdown spots),etc..

They are very finesse(and at times aloof), regardless of depth and talent issues.

"They have the pieces"

No no they don't . No lead Guard, No post Player, Just a bunch of finesse type inconsistent players who seem allergic to stopping the dribble......

It is bizarre how they try to trap or pressure the ball way out near half court. The guard would go right by and create a 3 on 2 at the basket.

Our big men go out and guard 2p ft from the basket.

It's just a mess. No coaching.

I feel we do have the pieces, as long as that are COACHED to play within their abilities and use fundamentals to overcome their deficiencies.

Timeout possessions, defense, offensive execution, turnovers, etc

There is no bright spot where you can say Jones has them coached well.

Oh, and how bout clutch FREE throws from a veteran! Geez

It's not that they arent good.

They peaked early and have plateaued while everyone around them has continued to improve.

The fact that we still make goofy turnovers, can't inbound the ball, and take errant 3s way too often is frustrating when your getting close to 25 games into the season.

ETA: and other fundamentals

This team has 5 players worth a shite, no center, and one guy who can shoot and he's streaky as hell.

They aren't even close to "having the pieces"
