Remember this? From Jimbo visiting LA in July. I bet he spoke to ole Joe back in the summer just to feel out any what ifs.

quote:

“I have an unbelievable tremendous amount of respect for the state of Louisiana, the coaches association and the players,” Fisher said. “There’s just so many fond memories. LSU is a very special place, a very special place for me and my family. It was tremendous to be able to come back.”

I believe that was the first coaching clinic he was back in Louisiana for

Typically a college coach partakes in a coaching clinic in his home state

I'm never the one for 'sources'. A good friend of mine whose family has deep, deep ties to Florida State has told me Jimbo would leave Tallahassee for Baton Rouge.

The only hiccup he portrayed to me was that his divorce and move to Baton Rouge could complicate things as far as custody is concerned.

Take if for what it's worth.

it was literally in his first contract with FSU as head coach.

No buyout if he wanted to leave for LSU

Oh c'mon guys sexton sexton sexton yadda. At least I put a link in my thread fricker. Where's the one that says sexton is a genius or a wizard?

Hey dumbphuc, if his agent is all about getting him more money, then answer this. Where does JF stand to make more money next year? LSU or FSU? The correct answer is LSU with a new contract.

Not if FSU pays more. And they dont have to pay much more, He will be taxed an extra 6% here in LA. LSU will have to make up that extra $300k a year, FSU won't.

Was this really in his first contract? If so, then that's awesome and needs to be reiterated.

As a life long LSU fan I hate to say this, but our fanbase is horrible. It creates an atmosphere that's worse than anything Miles does.

Remind me again why you're banging your head against a wall? Are you mad that I'm bringing this up and you think it's nothing more than harmless reminiscing? Or are you mad because you just want to believe something that's not the consensus feeling to seem cool?
