When a program is in decline people get worried. Dinardo had blind supporters until the very end. Smoke did too. And somehow Brady had people defending him.

I'm not putting Miles in that group yet but you have to admit there are several issues.

You don't pay a coach big money for a mediocre team.

I see a lot of both. And IMO both are too clouded to be objective.

Have a good night, it's been a pleasure even though we disagree on some issues.

I know, right? How refreshing/alarming to be able to participate in a discussion here on the rant and even though we disagree have it not degenerate into "your an idiot! How do you not see logic?"

I will say this: If Miles' results are the same this year and next as they were last year, he must be fired. If his results this year and next are akin to his first three years, we can assume that 2008 was just a speed bump.

That may be a tad harsh, but there are certainly those who seem all to ready to give up on a coach who has the best winning percentage in school history, has never loss a bowl game in 4 tries, and is hardly a year away from a national title. Not to mention give up on a team that's 5-1 and nationally rated.

One would think 47-12 alone would earn a coach a tad more loyalty, but I guess it's just time times we live it.

Don't you love the way some throw Smoke into the mix. I must have missed Smoke's national title and yearly postseason play. Geezzzzzzzzz.....

This is just me, but I would never allow the actions of some ungrateful posters to chase me away.

Let's see. I started LSU in 1989 and graduated in 1994. I personally witnessed LSU football with 40,000 people in the stands at kickoff. People just didn't give a shite and you couldn't give tickets away.

The acceptance of mediocrity may suit your concerns, but not me.
God I remember those days, praying we would beat teams like Vandy and MSU, then being happy about it when we just squeaked by. remember being excited about finally getting to The Independence or the Peach Bowl?

Tiger Phil....it's a very vocal minority dogging on our Tigers....

Plus, they can do it behind a computer screen......w/ a made up name......and most probably aren't LSU fans to begin with.

I wouldn't take it too seriously...

You are correct!

None of us should assume that all of "the sky is falling" or "Les needs to go" crowd are LSU fans. Trolls swim in that BS daily. imo

Yeah 2002 was rough. The Blowout loss in Blacksburg, then shutout by Bama 0-31 & Almost Auburn 7-31. finally the Bowl embarassment against Texas.

I hear what you are saying and who knows, you might be right. Thing is, in Nicks last 3 years he lost 9 games. In the last 3 full years under Les, we have lost 9 games.

The results were the same...are you saying Nick's program was in a decline as well?
