GTFO troll.

That's not what anyone is saying. We understand why JJ started. Just why Lee wasn't given even one series to try and spark the O.

And how does one pounder, you illiterate frick?

Ok, but that's not being said here and if that's what you read, your reading comprehension skills suck.

No one has said that Lee could have won the game..Just curious as to why he was not given a chance to try to change the course of the game. He could not have done worse! I am over losing the game..that is not my point at all.

An inland? How old are some of you?

It is far more than a single decision for a ball game. This was the National Championship game. Coaching 101 says that making a change can bring different results. Miles did the very same thing against Bama in November.

THis LL/JL BS has gone on for years and I, for one, am immensely grateful that it is finally over.

Integrity is also a part of this discussion. I have been a Les Miles fan from day one and still am, but this one is far too obvious.

I made the comment, I am 62, but if you get a chance to review the warm up video I think you would be surprised at the behavior between the team separate from Lee. I thought i was very telling and he appeared to be very isolated, yet standing in the middle of a group. See for yourself.

Something went down that we don't know about..and I pray that personal vendettas did not cost us or those boys the Championship.

it may not have cost us the championship, because we might/might not have lost if JL played, but it without question cost us a shot at being competitive. JJ played such a terrible game, he gave us no shot whatsoever. Shame on Les for not at least trying JL as a change of pace. Les quit on the team. Shame on you, Less Miles.

Agreed! if EVER there was a perfect script to see Jarrett Lee win the national championship season HE started it was last night. Very embarrassing for Tiger fans everywhere. I was as perplexed as everyone. Why did Jarrett Lee not see the playing field????? Great post. Thank you.

In order to keep something quite it is best to limit the information to only one or two people. We know Les knows and he will not talk. If only one other person knows the low down and it is either JJ or JL then we might never know. Especially if it protects JJ, JL and/or Les. The way I see it is that if this has to do with JL then Mett gets in the game with the NC on the line. If it about JJ then nobody gets in to keep him and/or his family happy thus quite. Remember les off the hook as long as JJ had a felony charge then when JJ gets back Les just can't demote JL because he has LSU O clicking. If you remember JJ gets in the very first game at the goal line to score. As the games go by pressure builds from JJ and/or family to start JJ. As soon JL makes his mistakes JJ takes over. Make no mistake, this is all about JJ not JL. If JL was the issue then Mett would have been playing instead of JL. Like I said in another thread JJ was the cancer.

I mean wouldn't you think that after 5 years he'd have at least one team mate to BS with during the game, a kicker or someone, sheesh.

I've seen multiple videos with Mettenberger and JJ cutting up and high fiving after games. They seemed like pals. I've never seen Lee interact with any other QB anywhere close to that.

Really a curious situation.

Les Miles did NOT quit on this team. He loves those guys and would have done what was needed to win the game. We all know this..what we don't know is why he did not play Lee. Therein lies the mystery..one we may never get an answer to. My theory is still that Lee didn't want to play anymore.

I don't buy it. Why not play Mett then when JJ is choking so bad? Not that anyone else on the team was playing lights out.

It wasnt going to happen. Alabama made very few mistakes last night, it would have been tough for any QB.

Nick Saban said in his post game conference LSU had some recievers open for big plays but the qb missed them. I will give the tide credit for playing a great game but they were far from dominant. Jefferson was awful and that was the difference in the game. As far as conspiracy theories go my most logical guess would be JJ was not the real kicker but knows who was. Miles rewards him/buys his silence for covering for the real culprit. At the end of the day I think it comes down to the fact JJ can make plays with his feat and doesn't throw interceptions. Miles was simply to scared to play Lee.

Ok maybe we will never know if Lee was on the outs with the staff, or if the team had a beef with Lee. Why in the hell was Mett or any other QB put in except JJ. Any other coach at any other school in any other form of football (college,Pro High School etc) would have tried something else in a game like this with a record like that on the line.
