I have always thought Miles was at his best when people give up on the team. It was the same after Florida beat us last year. Couldnt run- huge problem. Then the next week they run all over South Carolina. They have 3 weeks to prepare for Alabama. I am sure they will give a supreme effort. Not sure if that effort can translate to a win but they will be all in because they have another week off before AM. I guess this is the SEC way of helping LSU since they made us play GA away this season and FLA every year.

The fact that people are posting these things should tell you everything you need to know about the state of LSU football.

I want LSU to beat Bama because I love LSU and want them to win every game, but the game this year is basically meaningless in the big picture thanks to Miles' inability to keep the team focused when all their goals were within reach.

The fact that we've been reduced to just hoping to ruin Bama's three-pete is sickening.

This is a loser's mentality.

Beating the Gumps gives us a chance at winning the division. Bama still has @Auburn, a team that could be 10-1 going into the game.

Again, this highlights my bigest complaint about Les.

Now that there essentially no hope of winning a NC, the SEC, or even the SECW, Miles will likely have the best game plan ever for Bama.

It would not shock me at all if we baeat Bama. And, yes, I will be happy, but it will be a hollow victory.

Instead of that game deciding the West, it will likely only decide weather our bowl game will be in Dallas, Orlando or Atlanta.

You realize that unless AU loses to someone else, they win the west, not us.

Sounds good...but I hope everyone realizes winning in Tuscaloosa will require a sound game plan and mistake free football.

Ok so we beat the gumps, they win out, play and win the SEC championship over Missouri and then jump the #2 undefeated team. How did we ruin the 3-peat again?

So we're better off losing to Bama? I swear my IQ drops a point with every post I read on the Rant these days.

I agree

Let's do it

We can do it ... for damn sure. It will probably take a miracle to keep Miles from crapping himself but we *can* do it. Let's just stomp Furman's arse first.

Hope Miles has learned a few things from these last couple games, if he has, we stand a chance. Bama is beatable this year.

mistakes happen every game, can't do much about that, but we can come in with a sound game plan and utilize our personal to their strengths.

Sorry man all goals are out of reach, there has to be some motive! Me wanting to win against Bama is far from a loser mentality! If I thought we had no chance against Bama would be a loser mentality

So our season goals have come to trying to play spoiler each year? Wow. LSU has seriously fallen off if this an aspiration of this team.
