One solution might be to offer free beer during the 4th quarter.

OP sounds like you leave early to be able to accept multiple hot loads across your back.

It is up to LSU Athletic Office and TAF to make the stadium experience better.

First, understand your season ticket holder: Age, Home location, Gender etc.

Second, make the entrance/exit from campus location quick and safe.

Once you(LSU) understand the demographics of its customers and their concerns is a start.

It will all cost $$$$$. After that you can spend more time effort and money on the in stadium experience improvement. So far mostly cosmetic changes have been placed in the north end zone and the lower bowl sections.

It would take years for the improvements needed to make LSU game day close to what the NFL experience is like.

There is a long list of reasons why attendance will continue to be low except for one or two games a year.
1. Contraflow - no one wants to get stuck waiting for hours to get off of campus.
2. When Alleva bowed down to big donors who complained about traffic after the game and he stopped letting people park on the side of the street. This killed tailgating in many areas. I was with a friend yesterday who hadn't been to campus in a few years and he was appalled how dead campus was.
3. High definition TV
4. People are addicted to technology. You may think this is nuts but many stadiums are putting in wifi to keep people in the stands. I know its sad but true.
5. We aren't a top 5 team. If we were undefeated right now that stadium would have been packed for most of the game.
6. Many seasons tickets now are bought by businesses. So if no one goes to the game the business doesn't care.

I have yet to be at an LSU game versus Bama or in the last few of years Old Miss or A&M where fans left in large numbers.

When LSU plays Jacksonville state or Southern Alabama's or Southern Miss people will leave yearly. When we play Miss St or Mizzou people will leave early.

Nobody will be leaving early vs Ole Miss or Bama this year.

If LSU ever played decent OOC teams in TS anymore they wouldn't leave for that one either.

I'm old. The stadium atmosphere is different. There are 30,ooo more people to get in and out. When I sit outside of the 67,500 it doesn't even feel like Tiger Stadium.

I knew Clemson only had one title and that it was in 1981 because they talked about it on ESPN quite a bit last year. And if you knew someone like me was going to say something, then you could have said championships of any kind. Winning does bring more people out, but even Saban chastized Bama fans for leaving early in 2013 (that was after back-to-back national championships). So it happens anyway.

So more or less force people to stay?

The force is by punishing them enough to make them do what you want. You can say nobody forces anybody to do anything. For example, someone holding a gun to your head and asking for your wallet is not forcing you to hand over your wallet. You can get shot instead!

Our candy-arse fans have already proven that attendance doesn't improve by changing the coaching staff and improving the play on the field so I have to call complete and total BS on this.

The constant fan exodus is obvious. It could matter, depending on what coach you pursue.

A guy like Herman might come in and see the giant stadium and facilities, and be wowed. A guy like Jimbo might come in and watch the crowds bail out in the second half, and think "well, I'm at a place where my path to the playoffs isn't as tough as here, and my fanbase has more heart and atmosphere. If the money is the same, why should I leave?"

Not it at all....

You can't enjoy a game unless every last soul stays the entire game?

Couldnt care less what they do....

I don't get why what others do as far as staying or going bothers the enjoyment of other people who stay

I enjoy the game the same either way. From start to finish. Never said I didnt. Dont put words in other people's mouths.

Sounds like the insecurities of people who are followers and need validation of others.

Chill out Dr. Phil. No validation needed here. Sounds like you are projecting...

Is it really that hard to understand that people hate to see what used to be a raucous and intimidating atmosphere for EVERY game for the ENTIRE game, turn into a shell of its former self?

Like I said, I couldnt care less what people do, doesnt change the fact that it leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to comparing the old girl to what she used to be...

get over yourself pledge.

But you see Bama fans leaving in droves. LSU's student section has become a disgrace. The destruction of the band and the atmosphere decline lie mostly at the feet of the administration. Tiger Stadium ain't what it used to be.
