With the loss to FSU, the pressure is on the Tigers and the home crowd this weekend. Looking at the schedule ahead, we can make the Tennessee game a huge matchup with a win this weekend. Realistically, we can beat New Mexico and Auburn and that would put the Tigers at 4-1 against an undefeated Tennessee.

If Emery can become the explosive piece in the running game we are on our way to the season we want.

This is call to arms for all Tiger Fans..........Saturday's forecast calls for cloudy skys with a high of 88 a lower dew points than normal at 5pm.

totally agree it is a critical game this early in the season. If we win it could give us some confidence.

I am not trying to be negative, but I think everyone needs to temper the expectations for someone who has not played in a real game in over a year. Kelly has even alluded to it; he's not going to get 20+ carries this came and carry us.

The defense is going to be the key piece. The have to tackle and get off the field on 3rd down. They do that combined with what should be a lively atmosphere, then I like where we stand. They don't, well oh frick watch out.

Explosive doesn't mean 20 carries. Emery has the ability to break of huge chunks and make people miss.

This is a huge game. We absolutely must win this game at home and Auburn on the Plains in a few weeks.

Time for the defense to step up, play like an LSU defense, physically dominate and knock the shite out of the other team.

I just don’t see how we beat MSU, with our offensive line problems and defensive lapses. We need more talent on the team to be able to compete in the SEC. We have a great coach, I just think the rebuild will take time

Yes, but if we look like we did against FSU & drop this game to Miss St…. We could be looking at a 6 or 7 win season. Huge swing game.

Agree, some people think we have all this talent but compared to other SEC teams we just don’t.

I think most fans should expect for us to lose by about 10 points. We can be pleasantly surprised if that doesn’t happen

You think he lost his speed and agility not playing? He was suspended, not coming back from a major injury.

Dude, this ain't your slo-pitch team.
But you're right - CBK doesn't know WTF he's talking about.

Longest play for State was 20 yards last week. So tackling has to be good to win.

I think more than a swing game perhaps this is a "what kind team do we have" game after what we have seen the first 2 weeks.

Every team is making adjustments, moving guys around, Moo st included so who does it best? What teams this week make the right moves? Who has top level coaching staffs to pull it off?

Not just a W this week which is important but does each individual unit get better is what I hope to see.

And please shut those damn cowbells the hell up this week
