LSU looses to Auburn, MSU
Ole Miss to LSU Auburn
MSU to Alabama and Ole Miss
Auburn to Alabama and Miss State
Alabama to Ole Miss, LSU

For this to happen
(1) LSU has to run the table
(2) Auburn beats out Ole Miss, this weekend. This is likely as Ole Miss is beat up from the LSU game.
(3) Alabama beats Auburn and Miss State. Both these games are at home. Auburn will be a revenge game ( after last year) and I still think Alabama will be favored against MSU.
(4) Ole Miss gets MSU at home in the Egg Bowl and can win if there are key injuries at MSU.

Of course everyone beats out Texas A&M and Arkansas and wins their eastern division games.

I think outcomes (2), (3) and (4) are likely. Ole Miss and Miss State's first 22 are playing lights out but they lack the depth to overcome injury and run the table. It is evident from both their games against LSU.

Against MSU we were to far down ( three scores I think ) when MSU began to wear out and our comeback fell short. Against Ole Miss we were 4 points down and was able to win the game.

Outcome (1) is the hardest. Beating Ole Miss is one thing, beating Alabama is another. But the game is in Tiger Stadium and crazier things have happened. Alabama is also pretty beat up right now and we are relatively healthy. However, we will not be able to wear Alabama down. Also we have to play two road games after that.

But if there is a 5 way tie with 5 10-2 teams in the west, then it will be one crazy day.

if Auburn loses to UGA though... all bets are off

What an original thought. Please start a thread about how a six way tie could be possible.

I'd be interested to see how this board handles it if we beat A&M, then need Bama and Ole Miss to both win on Thanksgiving Saturday for us to get to Atlanta. Should be some... interesting discussions.

At least this guy didn't post his in the SEC rant. That one was the dumbest of all the threads. Might as well put it on the more sports board.

I'm just upset you only used "looses" once.

If we played tighter in either of these games, we may have one.

Even if we get into a 5 way tie for first and even if we go to Atlanta, 41-7 keeps us out of the playoffs.

A 5-way tie means Auburn goes to Atlanta anyway, but if we win the SEC, that means everyone in the conference has at least 2 losses. I don't see the committee leaving out the SEC champion.
