My theory to explain coach miles' peformance is that he is bitter about having to stay at LSU. He doesnt wanna be here but he would be a fool not to take the LSU paycheck.

He has no where else to go, therefore your theory is invalid.

Why does he need somewhere else to go? Why not do a shitty job, get fired, get paid, retire, then never work again?

1) He and his family LOVE it in BR.

2) He has to keep winning for this to remain. It could get ugly around BR if the Tigers have a bad year next year.

Well its not like LSU did anything to him. If he's bitter, his anger would be geared at Michigan and not LSU. The best thing he could do to get back at UM for not offering him the job would be to show them what he can do at LSU.

My theory is he wouldnt continue to bust his arse in recruiting if he didnt want to be here. Just a theory though.

Everyday I read this board and think there is no possible way I could read anything more stupid.
And then tommorrow comes and the inevitable happens, I read something more stupid than the day before.

Thanks TigaB8 for keeping it going.

Theory on Miles:

Diagnosis = ADD

If LM on too high medication: too mellow, but still inattentive with poor concentration (eg like this year)

If not enough medication: hyperactive/impulsive, but still inattentive (eg first two years)

During the oral stage of his development (0-2 years), Les Miles received ample nourishment at his mother's breast, which resulted in a lifelong optimistic outlook on life. This innate optimism however is often assaulted by traumatic experiences that cause mental conflict and anxiety in Coach Miles. He resolves these conflicts through two classically neurotic coping mechanisms:
• Denial—The refusal to acknowledge or accept the reality of events that cause trauma. Example: Coach Miles' refusal to change the style of our defensive schemes in the 2008 season, and his refusal to admit the deficiencies of Gary Crowton's offensive schemes in 2009.
• Repression—Mentally banishing events that cause unacceptable conflict between the ego and super ego. Example: Coach Miles' stated unawareness of problems related to clock management in several games during the 2009 season.
Diagnosis: Coach Miles' personality and behavior is dictated by his idiosyncratic neuroses. Although his diminished sense of reality may affect his ability to coach football, it nevertheless makes him highly compatible with many members of this board.

Sincerely,

Coach Sigmund Freud

P.S.—Cocaine and pussy. That's what I'm talkin' bout!

I would use an emoticon to express my feelings. But this theory is so dumb it does not warrant the extra effort to click on the appropriate markup emoticon to my right.

My theory on LSU fans:

Psychosis is a loss of contact with reality, usually including false ideas about what is taking place

I agree. He is losing on purpose, but staying close in the big games and winning just enough to keep the job.

Really no more discussion is needed. He figured it out.
