Well its comforting seeing that this was the anomaly and not the norm, but we were in the minority last night.

Never had that bad of an experience in Shreveport, but Rotolo's does get a good amount of Tech traffic on game day.

I would recommend trying Great Raft next time. They only show one game and will always show the LSU game. Great beer and the food trucks that come by have good food trucks.

Tech paid Rotolos tab for the PPV...thus bringing out all of the Tech fans.

The LSU hating Tech fans are most certainly an anomaly and not near as prevalent as this board likes to think

The vast majority of Tech students and fans are also LSU fans.

Also if you want some other places to watch games in the future, I'd recommend Twisted Root and Great Raft.

You picked the wrong bar, WR. Lots more Tiger fans up north than Bulldog or Warhawk fans.

No over reaction, just an observation.

What was the observation again? Everyone in Shreveport sucks because you went to a Tech bar during a tech game to watch LSU? Or was it more about Shreveport sucks because you have been to a couple of chain restaurants and they tasted like chain restaurants?

I mean you compare everything with Baton Rouge because you're obviously home sick and not exactly clicking up here. You went to Rotolos because you were pining for Baton Rouge and ran into aliens apparently. I have a feeling it won't matter where you move. If it's not Baton Rouge, you're not going to like it because you're certainly not the type that finds the good in things when he could just whine and bitch about something instead.

This. There are great places (and food) here to watch the game or grab a bite. I do know some Tech fans that act this way but believe us that it's a small minority. Shreveport has the best LSU fan base outside of Baton Rogue. I've always hoped lsu would play the spring game here. It would sell out in minutes and the school would make $$$ out of a scrimmage.

that's a relatively recent phenomenon, as of approximately our second most recent NC, possibly beginning with our first I-Bowl, I grew up there, and it was all Tech except for the few LSU loyals, Bear Bryant was still alive, tail end of Charlie Mac era, not a hundred bowl games for any .500 team, and Tech was winning "baby" national championships, when I was at LSU the Tech people were begging to play LSU(good for them they didn't get what they asked for,) kind of a band wagon atmosphere ever since

The owner of Rotolos in S'port and Bossier just signed a corporate sponsorship with Tech in the last month. I definitely will never go to either to watch an LSU game

What do you think your experience would have been if you were at a restaurant in Lafayette while a ULL game was on right before an LSU game.

Since when is Tech in Shreveport? Your point makes zero sense.

I've lived in Shreveport/Bossier for 40 years after moving from south La. I'd describe it as:

LSU...90 percent
La. Tech..2 percent
NSU .. 2 percent.
Grambling..2 percent.
Southern .. 2 percent.
ULM... 2 percent.

This is LSU country.

I have never been to Rotolos in Shreveport when they didn't have an LSU sporting event on tv if there were one on. That includes football, baseball, softball, basketball etc. Besides the people from the base, Shreveport/Bossier is extremely pro LSU. I think you let a few LaTech douchers ruin your experience or your being a little over dramatic. Hell I ran into at least a dozen La Tech grads in Houston wearing head to toe LSU gear yesterday.

That type of Tech fan behavior in Shreveport is pretty unusual. Most Tech fans I know pull for LSU and have more reasonable views about their status on the CFB food chain.

Let me refer you to latecchbbb[dot]com
Those type of Tech fans certainly and unfortunately exist, many of whom are in Shreveport.

They don't seem to realize that one can be a proud graduate of LA Tech and still root for the team they grew up following in LSU. It's both/and, not either/or.

It's because Tech has a contract with Rotolos here. They will play every tech game at the Bossier and Shreveport Rotolo's. They still played the LSU game so I don't know why you are crying.

Fwiw you go to any other place here and you wouldn't be able to find the tech game. Rotolo's is the only place.

I know the delusional Tech fans exist. They are the very small minority though.
