Will Canizarro be more successful in getting his team up to beat his old teacher or will the teacher turn his team against their old hitting coach and teach his ex-student a few more tricks?

He'll have to do it on the road after getting swept 0-3 at home...

And no.

Eta: and with a limited pitching staff

I think the student learned more in the Yankees organization.

I've watched Miss State play, Cannizaro doesn't follow Paul Manieiri's offensive philosophies. In fact while at LSU, I think the student had the better approach to offense than the teacher.

I doubt that this student learned much from this teacher.

I haven't watching Miss State much. In what ways are their philosophies different?

The student has a pitching staff full of season-ending injuries. He brought them this far in what was suppose to be a rebuilding year.

Everyone in Starkville loves the guy. Kramer credits him with saving his career. You call him the student, but he may be the best coach in college baseball.

Yes. I'm sure he didn't learn shite from a hall of fame college baseball coach. Absolutely nothing.

You can laugh but with everything Andy had to deal with this year, taking this injury depleted State team to the supers should earn him COTY in my opinion

Moo St. didn't get swept at home because they weren't "up".

No one is saying he hasn't done a good job this year. The best coach in all of college baseball. That's quite a stretch.

Give a rebuilding MSU to CPM and they barely make the SEC tourney.

CAC is a great instructor and motivator.

Between the series in Starkville and the sec tournament,
our players hit allot better when he's around

Not trying to disparage Cannizaro in any away because he's obviously done a great job, but wasn't LSU "rebuilding" last year by replacing 8 starters? I do recall us making the SECt fairly easily last year.

C'mon that's only because AC was on the staff. Don't you know that.

Coach of the year candidates do not finish 3rd in their division after losing 5 of their last 6 conference games (before tourney). And that "great" record was achieved without having to play Florida or Vandy.
