so, we are going to put Peterson, our best DB and punt returner, in at QB, when we have Russell Shepard perfectly capable of running it? Makes little sense.

Agreed. However either one running it would be an improvement over JJ trying to run it IMO.

Remember Chicken, les said last night the wildcat with Shepard doesnt work because there is no threat of pass.
Yes we recruited the #1 QB in the nation and mis-used him to such a degree that said former qb is not as an effective threat to throw as a Darren Mcfadden or Richardson or Ingram.

wildcat is suppose to be different than our offense. We cant pass with regular personnel, why would we change personnel for the same outcome?

I just don't want to Peterson to get worn down...especially when we have someone like Shepard who can play running QB, and basically did the wildcat in High School...
