What irks me is throwing the same post route into double coverage that you just got intercepted on earlier.

How can a professional OC be out coached by a guy named hugh frieze?

Just wait until he finishes school and becomes Dr. Freeze.

Believe me, I'm frustrated too,

Two words. Check downs.
Nothing underneath. Few looks via slants (the never used at LSU)T.E. or running backs.
And Mett just had too bad of a 1st half to overcome.

It would almost be like an opposing team studied film on us.

Congrats on learning to read. That's my point. We were predictable. They were ready.

every offense is predictable. I guess that is why I don't understand your point.

Why else would film be studied at every level of competitive football.

Ole' Miss' apparently wasn't on Saturday.

It looked like that because Mettenberger didn't account for the safety..which is basically a very novice error.

None of our throws are predetermined(except the screens). Ole Miss could have been in the huddle with us and the throw wouldn't have happened 99 times out of 100.

oh I am sure Cam knew where to throw, Mett didnt.
Pretty simple if someone is doubled then someone is in man so, Mett imo could not pick up the single coverage.

Sure it was....hell they ran the same little read play three times in a row out of the same formation.....third time was big gainer. First two were stuffed.

Execution trumps preparation. If Mett does not throw that ball, and hits an open Landry would it have meant that Ole Miss prepared WORSE at that exact moment? Of course not.

Once the ball was hiked, the safety ran STRAIGHT to that specific area of the endzone, faced Mett, and STOOD there with his hands up ready to catch the ball. No hesitation. No flinching. Then Mett throws it RIGHT to him.

Here is what I saw

Les Miles had Jeremy Hill standing on the sidelines. Ole Miss secondary noticed that Kenny Hilliard was in the game and even if he did get the handoff, he wouldn't get more than 6-7 yards on the play. So the safety knew he could help with pass protection instead of having to help with the run.

Les' idiotic handling of Jeremy Hill in the first half cost allowed the Ole Miss secondary to play the pass first.

Cam Cameron was running his offense in the second half and scored 24 points.

That game was much worse than a three point loss. We could have easily lost by three touchdowns had Ole' Miss not tightened up a few times.

1st Drive
The muffed punt
The blocked field goal drive

Throwing 2 picks in the endzone and a 3rd while driving.. we made the mistakes, not them. Blocked field goals are forced plays.

They made a bad mistake with that muff tho

when LSU scores points = Cam's offense

when LSU doesn't score points = Les's offense

god I love this place

Wow. I can assure you that the Ole Miss safety was not saying, "Oh it's ok if we give up 6-7 yards rushing every play to number 27. I can play pass first and not help with the run while he is in the game."
