The reason why LSU assistant coaching changes seem like an act of Congress

I feel everyone's pain about the Javi Sanchez mess but trust me when I say it takes time to get rid of a coach that has NOT done anything wrong criminally or embarrassed the university (even though most of you view the LSU lack of hitting as an embarrassment). I have worked in the LSU athletic department for over 10 years. What I am about to say is stuff that you may or may not know. As you may know Javi played for CPM at Notre Dame. His director of baseball operations was with him at Notre Dame and poor Will is a former LSU player that didn't even sniff the field. CPM put him on staff as to not alienate LSU current and potential players. Stuff you may not know about LSU athletics and how potential assistant coaches and people that work in the athletic department are selected. Head coaches are lazy and base their coaching decisions on recommendations and word of mouth. Most don't even know how to properly read resumes or conduct an interview. As for people who work in the athletic department there is an HR computer application which is a joke. LSU and many other universities have a computer program that throws out QUALIFIED applications based on age, race, credit score and keywords. The sad part is so many great people never get a chance to even interview. Instead LSU continues to hire recycled individuals from universities or other coaching staffs. Working in sports is a tough business to crack not because the work is hard but it's based on who your dad is and did you play some where. Trust me when I say the ones who played some where are the worst. I'm sick and tired of kids getting jobs because of who their dads are. The current opening with football involving the assistant director of operations and assistant director of player development is a severe disappointment.

Please tell me Les has at least a passing interest in who his assistant coaches are

I usually don't pile on, but shite! This must be said:
Use your time on campus to go to some writing classes. Learn the purpose and correct application of paragraphs.
And to address your point, nepotism is rampant everywhere. Why should LSU athletics be any different?

bullshite. You call him into the office and tell him he is/has not performed his job up to par. Say your sorry for letting him go and then you call USCe or Fla and throw the bank at whoever you want!

People are going to roast you for this post with stupid shite about paragraphs that absolutely doesn't need to be said but I like where your head is at so

Well, since I read it on the internet, it must be all true.

I'm trying to decide if it's Nicholas Mainieri or Thomas Mainieri.

I want to say Nick got a writing degree. Either his degree is really shitty, or it's not him.

The people I feel sorry for are the season ticket holders and the fans who make games when they can financially. LSU athletic department sends out a lovely letter from the AD describing to the fans about why all the prices are going up. In the end it's the same result. The fans deserve an honest answer. Does anyone remember how long it took for Gary Crowton to move on? The Javi situation has been going on for several years now.
As for the nepotism comment, it's time to do things a new way. LSU is a great university and should be a pioneer. Petrino lost his job because he got involved with a girl who received her job based on nepotism.

Why should I not be posting on here? Is it because I am telling the truth? I posted here to give some of the fans who wanted answers to how things REALLY work at LSU.
