This shite has only been mentioned about 100 times in the last hour. That is NOT making the o-line get man-handled or JJ hold the ball a few seconds too long.
I agree but I still hate it. Just let them play football for chrissake! They are four and five star recruits, I think they can play!

There is a big difference between standing in the huddle listening to the QB call the play, then breaking and going to the line getting in a stance for 5 seconds before the ball is snapped versus getting hunched over in a stance at the line and remaining in that position for 15 to 20 seconds. It is much easier for the linemen to get in a rhythm by huddling versus the slow-paced no-huddle LSU is employing.

+1000.....

I think there is some sort of trade off in between the two....the "check with me" to the sideline after lining up probably helps the "skill" position athletes, but it does not help the O-line...

It's one thing to look towards the sideline for audibles, but looking to the sideline before every play is a little too much.

I think this "pause" they do helps Jefferson and the WRs, but really hurts the running game and blocking.

If the rant is unanimous in it's disapproval of the pause then I'm all for it
