Am I the only one that prefers the BCS trophy over the new national Championship trophy?

The current NC trophy is ugly as hell. The crystal ball was perfect and made for great pictures

Crystal ball is still my favorite trophy in sports.

Any time that god awful lipstick tube is hoisted up I make sure to bitch about it as much as possible . The BCS/CFP organizers tried to help further justify themselves by changing. The AFCA trophy predated the BCS by quite a few years. It's not quite like ditching the stanley cup but it was definitely an iconic part of college football. The golden lipstick tube is one of the uglier and bland sports trophies.

The Coaches' Trophy is still awarded, like it was before the BCS existed, so I'm not sure why they felt the need to create a separate one for the CFP.
But at least it still exists, even if it's not presented on the field anymore.
