LSU has never won a national championship in a year that we dogpiled at the SEC Tournament. Fact.

Time to break that record too...

You say that like the two have any correlation with each other.

I don't have a problem with the dogpile, but there could be a correlation. Look at how the Cubs celebrated each playoff series win. The first one was pretty ho-hum. It was merely a step needed to get to the ultimate goal.

Being that the SEC tourney championship win has no bearing on the ultimate goal, celebrating with a dogpile could be considered over the top.

Like I said, winning today is a huge accomplishment and should be celebrated. Winning next weekend should not lead to a dogpile. I don't mind one if they win the supers and make it to Omaha.

A Marinara-led team didn't choke, that's worthy of a dogpile.

Go look up "Marinara's" win percentage in the SEC tournament.

I
In fact, I'll save you some trouble. It's top 3 along with Bertman and Torban.

Winning the sec and sec tourney is a goal. They achieved that goal. There is nothing wrong with celebrating after achieving 1 of the biggest goals of a team.
Also, don't equate grown men playing professional baseball with a bunch of kids/ young men.

After the way this season went I have no problem with them celebrating after half of our fan base had written them off and wanted the head coach fired.

Agreed on everything. I'm actually not really a fan of dog piling this early I'd rather wait until at least we win the supers. I just look at it as more of a perception thing and not on field performance. I don't think dog piling will in any way mess with our performance on the field barring injury.

Cubsfan is right. It's extremely hard to be at your top mental peak for four weeks straight. That's what it takes to win the SECT, Regionals, Supers, and Omaha. The boys are expending a lot of emotion at the SECT. Paul's teams have a pattern of this. I promise you Skip's teams weren't dogpiling at the SECT. If you win, great. If you don't, no big deal. But keep your focus on the big prize.

Enjoying being a young athlete that has just won a championship is bad? They just won a conference tournament championship!

Nothing wrong with being happy, but celebrating like the season is over is not a good thing when the biggest part of the year starts on Friday.

That's not celebrating like the season is over. That celebrating like you jist won the hardest conf tourney in all of college baseball in dominating fashion. IMO at least.
