Wow
I despised the new park when it first opened.
But I'm warming up to it now. It felt like high school kids playing in a MLB stadium with wooden bats the first few years. But with everything that's changed this year, it's been a blast. The long ball's back and is a big reason LSU is in the finals. Hmm.. just like old times.

It'll never have anything on Rosenblatt though. Thanks for posting

They finally found the right combination of bats/balls. TD Ameritrade is nice, but making every power hitter an automatic flyout absolutely crushed the game's appeal.

It also was a defacto reward to a pitcher for making a bad pitch.

But...it looks like the winds are going to shift after tonight.

Good column in the Omaha World-Herald this morning about how lots of people are finally starting to warm up to it and LSU was largely credited for that.

LSU is not only here but winning. Omaha loves the Tigers and their fans. This is a work-hard, play-hard town and the Baton Rouge bunch fit right in. We love winners, too, and LSU became a dynasty you could embrace.

We associate LSU not only with Rosenblatt but with good times at the CWS. Definitely, part of the event’s charm. That’s been back this year, and I’ll throw this in, too: TDA is so nice — in a corporate sports way — that you almost feel weird getting crazy there. The noise factor has returned to the CWS. The party, too.

Rosenblatt oozed character but I gotta admit, I'm starting to warm up to this new park.

Agreed!

Maybe it has something to do with the Tigers success this year at TD Ameritrade, but this year I'm finally putting all the great memories of Rosenblatt in a box and stowing them away in the attic so to speak.
