You should have seen Todd Kinchen play. He jumped over guys. He went around guys. He would run six seperate fake moves on the same guy. In one game against Texas A&M, he was a one man wrecking crew. You should have seen him....

...and CHARLES ALEXANDER, #4 with the tear-away jersey was a beast. He was nearly impossible to bring down. he never went down in a three point stance, he just lined up with his hands on his hips, looking cooler than any player in LSU history...

...and you wanna see the ultimate special teams headhunter, you should have seen Steve Rehage, the guy would incapacitate somebody on every kickoff. He was the forerunner to Ryan Baker...

Throw a couple names out there old guys....

He was a headhunter wherever he was on the field, sometimes it cost us a few penalty yards, but dude was a cold blooded killer out there. how many times did he knock himself silly trying to decapitate someone out there?

Peter Press Maravich. Saw every home game he played from 1966-67 through 1968-69 seasons. Not to mention every Jr. High School game from 1958-59 through 60-61. One of a kind.

Sammy Martin was one of the fastest guys LSU has ever had. He was so fast sometimes he would break into the open on KO returns and fall down b/c he out ran his feet.

Bert Jones. He only played half the time because Mac played a 2 QB system with Paul Lyons.
They did't call him the Ruston Rifle for nothing.
He had he most beautiful release I've ever seen, and the ball was a blur when he threw it.

Sammy Martin. Like Todd K, he blew away Texas A&M one night in Death Valley, taking a short middle screen 3 yards past the LOS and embarrassing every one else on the field.

He also made a 10 yard TD run against Ole Miss that was not to be believed.

Brandon Larson. Dude hit FORTY homeruns in 1997 for LSU.

give it a few more years and then ask a LSU student at a tailgate what he thought of Josh Reed, and watch him stare back at you blankly....
