It's just the "soup de jour"...this too shall pass. There really isn't a lot of storyline lines this CFB season...no BCS drama (at the moment)...

Miles can recover from the media storm and he took a step in the right direction yesterday. There will always be people who won't "forgive" but someone else will be in the limelight soon.

Hopefully, this will light a fire under Miles. He has to know that he is on the hot seat, and that the national media has no respect for him.

If he can lead another team to an SEC Championship and not have luck be an overriding factor, then he will have the last laugh.

This program is all his now. After this season, there will be NO Saban players on the roster (Charles Alexander is the last one). If he can turn the program around (yes, a potential 10-3 needs to be turned around), he will gain a lot of fans.

Where was luck a factor in his SEC championship?

then what does that say about all the other coaches that year who didn't even make it to the game?

that they weren't as lucky ?

miles' coaching arguably had little to do with playing for the title .. sure, he went for it five times on fourth down against florida, but he lost to kentucky, was basically interviewing with michigan the week of the arkansas game and lost that one ... then needed pitt to stun west virginia to get into the game ... can't really give miles a shite ton of credit for that season ..

Saban will leave a player in the game after it's been decided, ala Ben Wilkerson and Matt Mauck, and he will get hurt.
Miles is a stand up guy,and I support him.

I thought that luck played a part in just about every title run.

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck... what's the big deal? This is a national story, why is this surprising?

just for shits and giggles .. go back to tennessee in 1998 and move forward ... look at each champ's season and you'll see no one with luck even approaching what miles enjoyed in 2007 .. except for maybe saban in 2003 ... clint stoener's fumble in the UT-arky game in '98 is a distant third ..

yes, luck plays a role in most/many championship runs, but for Miles, if he wins again, if luck played a prominent role, like many say it did in 2007, he will not gain the respect of the media/fans...but who in the f cares how he wins it. A crystal ball is a crystal ball...

Yeah. Funny how no one ever knocks Stoops or Saban when they have 8-5 seasons.

well, saban never had an 8-5 season here, just his 8-4 season in 2000 .. he pretty much got a mulligan in his first year at bama ... stoops is starting to take it pretty hard right now with the oklahoma media ..

Saban was labeled smart and Miles was said lucky. Saban can conduct an interview with the press, and Miles seems to be at their mercy. Man needs to go back and take some speech therapy. Seriously! He just has trouble being a leader and getting respect. Don't know how it goes in the team meetings and locker room. Is he the same?
