All we can do is wait and see.

The hire did take me off the Miles bandwagon. I will never be running him down with every post like certain idiots on this board, but I am no longer a strong Miles supporter.

Bebe coming aboard did mitigate things.

I hope Miles and Steele prove me wrong, but resume-wise, this was a lousy DC hire.

That must be an Irish term I'm not familiar with.

Yeah, I kinda looked past that part. I thought it might be "modern, locker room lingo".

I doubt we regress much at all.

So, by regression you mean we can't stop people in long yardage on 1st and 2nd down along with the previous 3rd and 4th?

I would be disappointed if there is no improvement. I think the defense will play better. We already know the new staff can outrecruit the previous one. I'm excited for the next few years.

I like the defensive recruits we've been locking up, but I (and you) otherwise have nothing to go off. He could work out. He could be a total disaster. We'll see. Chavis had his fair share of "oh shite" and "Wtf" moments, but he was a damned good coach whether we want to admit it or not. I would say the odds that Steele isn't a step back are pretty slim.

What has changed your mind sense the hire? Personally, I will have to wait and see how his first season turns out

If KS was good enough for Nick to hire twice, he's probably good enough for us to give a shot.

With the Drama Queens we have roaming this forum, there is nothing wrong with a good dose of "sunshine pumping" to offset their continual pissing and moaning. I mean, if you only paid attention to those guys you would think LSU football was ranked 40th in the nation in BCS wins since 05 as opposed to 2nd.

I love the Steele hire seems all the units r getting coached up by a specialist at their position, and I think that their all gonna mesh together as a unit. Just a reel good guy feeling!

Matty Tiger: In case you don't have the morality and knowledge, using the image of the Sacred Heart, in a bio-post is very disrespectful if not blasphemous!

JUST SO YOU KNOW!!

my thoughts exactly. totally unimpressive career imo. i see nothing that makes me think he can field an elite defense over the course of multiple seasons. having said that, saban has been better at bama than he was at lsu so, maybe the same will happen to steele. i just don't know why we had to settle for that and wish that it didn't happen.
