6-21vs major teams

Wake Forest x 2
Vandy
Arky
UGA
Aggy on road lol

Only Arky is a good team and easily his best win.

1-10 on the road
15 of our 21 losses to major teams were by 10 or more
1-0 to open sec play in year 2
Will just keep track as this continues. The data somehow just gets uglier the more you dig in.

0 negative tweets so there is that

FWIW took Brady to Feb 6th second season to hit 15 double digit losses. He of course had real probation to deal with

This is so sad. I really hope Woodward grows a pair and hires Wade back.

I don't think McMahon is a bad coach, I just think he belongs in a lower stage.

For context TJ had 15 double digit losses to major teams in Feb of his second season.

JJ went to March 4th of his 3rd season before hitting 15 double digit losses and like TJ one of those was in the post season tourny.

Wade- all the way into March of season 4

I’m afraid the data says he isn’t a good coach.

Since 2000 LSU has went 0fer on the road twice. Trent’s second season and Matt’s first.

Are you saying that he wasn't able to field a totally amazing team after inheriting zero players, zero recruits, and a LOA a few months before last year started??? Shocking.

The Wade Brigade seems to be in a panic since Cook became eligible.

How could anyone downvote your post? All you did was provide the data. I guess to a portion of our fan base, highlighting McM’s record somehow constitutes praise of our prior coach, so they instinctively downvote. So bizarre.

Now tell us how many NBA players those coaches inherited on day 1. Tell us how many college players those coaches inherited on day 1.

Wade inherited a 2-15 team with a dog shite roster and no transfer portal.

He managed a NIT and then won the conference the next year and it took 4 years for him to get embarrassed by double digits as much as matty boy has in less than 1.5 seasons.

This is basketball it doesn’t take 4 years to build depth.

Also no matter what level you put the bar at for last year matty boy failed to get over it.

We were dead last in the conference

Compare those numbers to our previous coaches:
Wade
Jones
Johnson
Brady
Brown
Maravich

None took over the team in a good situation.
I wonder how they all stack up.

The Mcmen are very upset by cold hard data.

Matty is hanging around TJ level without his first year success factored in

People keep saying that, but didn’t a few stay after all the drama? I believe so.

I don’t believe any were top of the line guys though.

Wade TJ and JJ had no transfer portal.

Wade had a 2-15 roster where the year before a tuba player was a contributor

JJ inherited a shite team and at least was competitive

TJ inherited the best roster and capitalized with a sec title and then promptly crashed the bus

The situation Brady inherited was way worse than McM based on the scholarship restrictions. McM lost most of the roster but was not limited on scholarships or recruiting. Brady dealt with probation for 4 years and still recruited good talent and had the team playing hard.

Skip should never have fired Brady in 2008. It was a huge mistake, but it was what our fanbase demanded.

Wow, couldn't answer the question, huh? As I recall Wade took over a team with 2 future NBA players (who are still playing today) and something like 11 D1 scholarship athletes. JJ was the only one of the 3 you mentioned besides MM who didn't inherited any NBA players.

Weird how you wouldn't admit that.

2-15 team the roster was shite and he fixed it with no portal.

MM had a portal, his boss caused him to have to work so hard to get anyone to stay.

Skyler Mays had his best seasons under Wade’s coaching. Mays looked really bad under JJ. Outside of Mays, I can’t recall any other good players Wade inherited from Johnny Jones.
