Located on the corner of Skip Bertman Drive and Nicholson Drive, the privately funded, three-story LSU Foundation Center for Philanthropy was the first building to go up on the 28-acre site that comprises the LSU Nicholson Gateway development.
The Dr. James and Ann Peltier Welcome Center is centrally located near the Ann and Clarence P. Cazalot Jr. Atrium, which includes a donor wall with interactive touch screens and a permanent message of thanks to all LSU donors.
The Reilly Family Terrace is home to LSU’s first green roof and features views of Tiger Stadium and the Mississippi River.
The Benhard Family Legacy Room, located in the Amie and Jeff Springmeyer President & CEO Suite on the second floor, provides dedicated space for meetings with donors.
quote:
The LSU Foundation Center for Philanthropy is a permanent reflection of the vital role of academic fundraising to LSU’s future. It unites the development team in a highly visible location where we are able to engage with donors while offering them accessibility to the university’s most popular sports venues. Our immediate adjacency to the Nicholson Gateway development, in which we are a key partner, has positioned the center as the kickoff to an exciting new entrance corridor for LSU.” —Robert M. Stuart Jr., chairperson, LSU Foundation board of directors

That's really nice, but why is every frickin room named after someone? I understand they gave a lot of money to LSU, but once you start naming every room in the building, it takes away the meaning behind it.

1) Naming rooms is not unique to LSU
2) What "meaning" is being taken from it?

Such a nice building and yet half the buildings on campus have old broken windows with peeling trim.

Donate $500,000 or more and they will name the bathroom after you and give you a key!
