And you know that those pooch kicks were supposed to land on the 30-35 and not say the 15-20?
Well over 6 kicks the average spot it landed was the 26.5 yard line with the furthest being to the 24 and the shortest to the 30, so it looks like he was trying for the 25-30 area.

Why is LSU even using a kicker that has FG accuracy issues for his whole life but one of the top KO legs to pooch kick? When you have much better kickers than can do that?
Maybe gamble is the best at getting height on those pooch kicks? Idk. I don't think Les would intentionally give up field position there if he knew that his guy could kick it out of the endzone 100% of the time. Doesn't make sense.

Again all this argument on the pooch kicking belies the much more serious problem. We have a roster full of exceptionally gifted athletes, yet we can't find 11 that can cover kickoffs. With that talent you should not be afraid to kick the ball deep. We should not be one of the worst coverage special teams in the nation, period. Its a major fail by our coaching staff (albeit one of many) that its become this terrible. Peveto has to be replaced to start with.

We do not have more talent than any team in college football, that's just dumb.

would place good money on Gamble kicking it out the endzone in a dome 10/10 if told to do so without regards to placement.

If he could have he would have

The problem is pretty apparent on special teams. Despite having without question top 10 talent in the nation from 1 to 85, we have not been able to get even average coverage on kickoffs and punts. That is utterly inexcusable. We were exceptional for years under Miles in special teams, now we are awful. It HAS to be fixed.

where the hell have you been? that problem was fixed 3 games ago.

I guess you conveniently disregard that so you can attack miles, peveto, alleva, alexander, javi, etc, etc

That's ideal but out of the end zone is better than a squib kick to the 35. If he could put it out the back he would be doing that.

He can definitely do it, but I don't know what type of hang times he's got. That could be the problem, but he should still be booting it out if that were the case

If you are putting out the back hang time doesn't matter.
