The Jones kid playing hoops for Vandy

From Scotlandville I think, was LSU ever in the running for this kid. I was pretty impressed with him in that Arkansas game yesterday.

Trent didn't recruit him hard enough and Coach Jones got here too late to gain ground. That plus he wanted that Vandy education.

He was going to Vandy from day 1, he wanted the premier education

Also, he was in the same class as Martin and Mickey...it was a hard sell for him with those 2 also coming in. We wound up with Malone instead becuse Jones really wanted a big center.

The freshman point guard on Vandy has looked really good. Of course the coach signed him without seeing him either... he was on a recommendation only. Dumb luck, eh?
